Due to FA Cup replays, the game originally scheduled for Monday night, has been brought forward to Saturday Lunchtime, as QPR welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Loftus Road.
Spurs are the heavy favourites, available at a best price of 6/7 whereas the draw is available at 17/6. A QPR win is as long as 38/11. All odds from Pinnacle.
Harry Redknapp may have arrested the nosedive out of the Premier League that QPR was undertaking under Mark Hughes, but they are far from out of the water yet. Even if they do get relegated though, the 1-0 win at Chelsea will be enough to secure legendary status for Redknapp at QPR. Harry Redknapp has overseen both of QPR’s league wins this season, although he is facing a Spurs side who have won seven of their last nine Premier League matches.
Spurs are overwhelming favourites for this one for obvious reasons, but I feel that the value could be found opposing Spurs here. The Harry Redknapp factor cannot be overlooked in this game, and he will be looking to get something from this game. It cannot be overlooked however, that Spurs have lead at some point in 18 of their 21 matches this season. I therefore recommend QPR to come from behind and either draw or win, available at 5/1 with Ladbrokes.
Whilst we’re on stats betting, it should not be overlooked that Spurs have scored and conceded a greater percentage of goals in the second half than any other team in the league this season, both stats well into the 70’s. It appears to be frankly ludicrous then, that Betfred are offering odds of 6/5 that the second half has the most goals. In terms of who will get the goals, QPR will be playing Ryan Nelson and Clint Hill as centre backs – absolutely fabulous professionals, honest as the day is long and all those clichés, but not the quickest. Suarez absolutely roasted Hill recently, and if Defoe gets amongst them both he could reap the benefits. He’s 11/2 to score first with Corals. BetFred are offering their double delight, hat-trick heaven promotion, but be warned that he’s only 7/2 to score first with them.
