Fulham were at their destructive best on Wednesday night as they put four past a usually-resolute Millwall side. Mitrovic was amongst the goals, and the Serb now has three in his last three. He was touted by many pundits to be this seasons top goalscorer in the second tier, and he’s started brilliantly. During his 20-game loan spell two seasons ago, Mitrovic notched 12 goals, and helped guide the Cottagers up to the Premier League. Although he was far from prolific in the top flight, he still netted seven times, and he is likely to get plenty of chances in this game. Ably supported by Ivan Cavaleiro and Anthony Knockaert, the 24-year old should get a number of opportunities to stretch his good goalscoring run and make it four in four.
Cambridge were desperately lacking goals earlier in the campaign, and whilst they still aren’t prolific, they do have an experienced head in the side who does add some much-needed know-how in the final third. Marc Richards arrived on a free, and he’s hit the ground running with a goal in the EFL Cup, and his first League Two goal since leaving Swindon. The 37-year old won’t have many seasons left in the EFL, but he’s not planning on stopping scoring anytime soon, and he could find the back of the net again this weekend. Oldham were better with David Wheater back in the side in midweek, picking up a goalless draw with Exeter, but they can’t rely on the Teessider exclusively. Richards alongside a more youthful Harvey Knibbs will cause problems for the struggling Latics, and it could be the former Northampton man who notches his third of the campaign at the Abbey this weekend.

Alongside Crawley’s Bez Lubala, and Charlton’s Lyle Taylor, Danny Rose is part of the exclusive club of players who have netted in every single EFL game so far. Rose is clearly flourishing under the management of John Dempster, and although the Stags slipped up against Leyton Orient in midweek, he still managed to bag a brace. Rose is the designated penalty taker this season which always helps our cause, and he’s already netted five overall. He struggled last season, but he’s hit the ground running this time around, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him heavily involved once again. Stevenage are looking very poor so far this campaign, and they could struggle with Mansfield’s energy in the final third. Rose and Maynard are formidable pairing, and the former could extend his fine goalscoring run.
