Fleetwood v Blackpool, Saturday 3pm

Fleetwood predictions

Blackpool to score Over 1.5 goals – 13/8 with Bet365.

Joey Barton can’t seem to get any sort of consistency from his side, the brilliant results they regularly get are coupled with negative results immediately after.

After going on a 3 game winning streak they are now winless in 2 games, their latest defeat coming to Northampton away from home.

Blackpool are experiencing a real upsurge in results over the last two months, they have won an impressive 7 out of their last 8 games in all competitions and over their last 8 games they’re averaging 2.25 goals a game.

Expect Blackpool’s superb form to continue at inconsistent Fleetwood and expect them to bag a couple of goals in this one.

Shrewsbury v Charlton, Saturday 3pm

Charlton to Win to Nil – 3/1 with Paddy Power.

Shrewsbury were desperately unlucky not to pick up all 3 points in midweek, they conceded a 94th-minute equaliser to surrender the points against Accrington Stanley, that draw extended their winless run to 5 games in all competitions.

Lee Bower would have been disappointed with how his side performed in their 1-0 defeat at home to MK Dons in midweek, his side will be looking to make amends at Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Charlton currently have the second-best away record in the league just behind league leaders Hull City and in the 5 away victories they have secured so far this season they have all been wins to nil, expect the same here against 20th place and struggling Shrewsbury.

Oxford v Hull City, Saturday 3pm

Hull City to Win and BTTS – 10/3 with Bet365.

They reached the playoffs last season however Oxford just can’t seem to gather any momentum this season, they’re sitting in 20th place and are on a run of 3 straight games without a win. They were held to a goalless draw at home to Ipswich in midweek and will be in for a tough afternoon against league leaders Hull City.

Hull City defeated Doncaster 2-1 in midweek and that victory stretched their unbeaten run to 9 games in all competitions.

Hull City have the best away record in the division, collecting 18 out of a possible 24 points on the road, expect them to make it 21 out of 27 on Saturday.

Sunderland v Wigan, Saturday 3pm

Wigan or Draw – 2/1 with Bet365.

Managerless Sunderland can’t seem to buy a win at the moment and the Sunderland next manager odds are forever changing. The sacking of Phil Parkinson did not bring an immediate upturn in results, they were held 1-1 at home by 22nd place Burton Albion in midweek.

The Sunderland faithful will be deeply concerned with their teams showing of late, they’re are winless in 6 straight games which is dreadful for a club as big as the Black Cats. Bottom of the table Wigan are struggling for results and are winless in 14 straight games in all competitions.

With this fixture you get the sense this is a perfect time to be playing Sunderland, you’ve just seen Burton who are massively struggling pick up a positive result at Sunderland in midweek and expect Wigan to do the same on Saturday.

Portsmouth v Peterborough, Saturday 3pm

BTTS and Over 2.5 goals – 13/10 with Bet365.

This should be a really good contest when these two sides square off at Fratton Park on Saturday, these are two top-end League One sides and both will be looking to collect all 3 points in this game.

Portsmouth currently sit 6th in the table and will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Blackpool in midweek, whilst Peterborough sit 3rd and will also look to bounce back after a 2-1 defeat to Wimbledon.

Both sides will look for wins to round their week off making for an exciting game.
