The Sounders continue their surge up the table, and claimed second place with an eyecatching victory over the New York Red Bulls at the weekend. The Western Conference side surged into an early lead, and although they failed to keep a clean sheet, they offered too much in the final third. They also put four past LA Galaxy earlier in the month, and look very effective at Century Linke Field. They will be delighted to welcome FC Dallas on Wednesday night, as they remain unbeaten against the Texans here since 2011 in the MLS.

Crucially, Seattle aren’t wholly reliant on a single player, and have Raul Ruidiaz, Jordan Morris and Nicolas Lodeiro all in decent form, and the trio have 27 goals between them so far this campaign. Morris, in particular has caught the eye, and he’s now scored or registered an assist in seven of his last ten matches.

Only five sides have a better home record in the MLS this season, whilst only five sides have a worse away record than FC Dallas so far. The head-to-heads vastly favour the home sides in this match-up, and Seattle Sounders look in pole position to continue that run of form.
