Spain v England Betting Tips, Preview and Predictions

Spain v England predictions and football betting tips for this week’s international friendlies as both nations start their preparations for Euro 2016 next summer.

Spain host England in Alicante on Friday 13th November as both teams begin their preparations for next summer’s European Championships and our tipster has picked their three best bet tips.

Spain v England Predictions

Both teams had excellent qualifying campaigns. England were the only team to have a 100% record in qualifying and Spain, since losing to Slovakia last October, won eight on the bounce in an impressive campaign.

England have their injury problems ahead of the trip to Spain so their starting line-up will not be the first choice 11. Luke Shaw and Daniel Sturridge are long term absentees, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have picked up injuries and James Milner has had to pull out of the squad. Fabian Delph is back though along with John Stones and they’ll be hoping to further their chances of making Roy Hodgson’s squad for next summer.

Spain have injury worries of their own. David Silva is still missing, and Sergio Ramos and Juanfran had to withdraw from the squad. Diego Costa has been recalled though it remains to be seen if he gets the nod over Alvaro Morata and Paco Alcacer.

It’s a tough game to call. Both teams will be competitive but I can’t see either team going all out. I think the obvious bet is the draw, and that is my first Spain v England prediction for this week. The best odds for Spain and England to draw are 27/10 with Bet Victor.

So I’m not expecting either to give their absolute all in what is just a friendly, but both sets of players will be keen to prove their worth. Spain may be Xavi-less these days but they still possess some excellent creative players. England can cause problems too, the pace of Raheem Sterling and the power of Harry Kane could get at the depleted Spanish defence and create chances. For that reason, for my next football betting tip, I’m going for both teams to score in this international friendly.

My second Spain v England betting tip is for both teams to score, the best odds are 6/5 at Coral.

Spain to beat England odds

Could anyone bet against Jamie Vardy continuing his fantastic run? Vardy became the first Leicester player in 15 years to win the Premier League player of the month. He’s scored in nine consecutive matches, the first Englishman to achieve the feat, and leads this season’s goalscoring chart with 12 goals. The best odds for Jamie Vardy to score against Spain are 15/4 with Bet365. Whether he starts up front or on the left where Hodgson played him last time out I can see him causing problems.

My third football prediction for Spain v England is for Jamie Vardy to score anytime at the best odds of 15/4 with Bet365.
