Neither side go into this match in very good form – Swansea have only won one of their last six Championship fixtures and Brentford are winless in three league games.

The Swans’ last home game was the unfortunate 3-2 defeat to Man City in the FA Cup.

The spoils could be shared in this one as the two teams wind down their seasons with little to play for.

Swansea vs Brentford Match Preview and Latest Odds

Swansea would have expected to be challenging at the top of the Championship at this point in the season but they’ve not been consistent enough in their first season back in the second tier.

One of the pre-season favourites to get promotion, they have languished around mid-table for most of the campaign and after defeat in the FA Cup quarter final to Manchester City, will already have one eye on getting promoted next season.

Brentford were another side expected to be in the top 6 but they had a disastrous start to the season, going on a run of one win in 15 matches before Christmas. They then turned things around and lost just twice in 13 games but losing the last two has put an end to their play-off hopes, barring a faultless run to the end of the season now.

Manager Thomas Frank plays an exciting style of football but they have been struggling for goals in recent matches and that will be a concern against Swansea on Tuesday night. They’ve only scored one in their last four away and that’s why we’re predicting a tight Swansea victory for this week’s betting tips.

Match Odds:

Swansea City to win – 13/8

Draw – 13/5

Brentford to win – 17/10

Swansea vs Brentford Betting Tips

We’re betting on a close victory for the home side in this match and a lot of that is based on the fact that Brentford are struggling for goals of late. They’ve failed to score in away matches at Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Wigan in their last four games, but did beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at the Riverside.

If this continues here, then under 2.5 goals could be the perfect selection to bet on either as a single, or adding it to an under/over 2.5 goals accumulator.

To add to this, three of Swansea City’s last four home Championship matches have also had two goals or fewer in, with 1-0 wins against Sheffield United and Millwall, plus their latest home league game, a 2-0 home win against struggling Bolton. There was a 3-3 draw with Birmingham in there too though, so this is by no means a banker!

The odds for under 2.5 goals in this game are 6/5 with Betfred while over 2.5 goals is the favourite with the bookies at 4/6.

Swansea vs Brentford Correct Score Prediction – Swansea to win 1-0 @ 10/1

It would take a miracle for either of these sides to get into the play-offs now, but we are predicting a tight win for Swansea who are looking to continue their good run at home.

Away from home Graham Potter’s side have lost their last six matches, but things are better at the Liberty Stadium.

Brentford haven’t won in their last three matches now and with a play-off place nine points away, it is hard to see them rallying to get into the top 6 – this defeat would put an end to their chances.

The Bees have failed to score in three of their last four away from home and Swansea have kept clean sheets in three of their last four home matches, winning 1-0 twice. That is the main reason for our correct score prediction on this game.
