It’s been a real season of inconsistencies for TFC who find themselves on the fringes of the play-offs despite having won just two of their last ten games in all competitions. Greg Vanney’s men just haven’t been able to put together any kind of run, although their victory in the derby against Montreal at the weekend will certainly have given them a shot in the arm. They’ve managed just five clean sheets all season, and they could struggle to keep the impressive Red Bulls off the score-sheet here. The Harrison side have scored nine more goals than Saturday’s opponents, and arrive in-form.

Drew Moor will miss this game through injury, and Vanney will be forced to shuffle his pack. He’s looking to get his first victory over his opposite number.

NY Red Bulls won the Hudson derby at the weekend, edging out their opponents, and continue to climb the Eastern Conference. Although they don’t always travel well, their away form hasn’t been too bad recently, although they’ve conceded at least three goals in their last three games outside of New Jersey.

Each of their last six games have featured at least three goals, and they have plenty of players who can cause problems for Toronto. Daniel Royer has been particularly handy this season having netted seven times already for the Red Bulls.

They have won each of the last three meetings between the pair and psychologically, are likely to have the upper hand on Thursday night.

Although there aren’t always a flurry of goals when these sides met, neither defence convinces at the moment. NY Red Bulls recently drew with Atlanta United on the road, and it was a terrific game for the neutral. He likes home comforts, although he was on the scoresheet at Stade Saputo last weekend. He’s the second favourite to score anytime, and is available at 6/5 to grab his ninth goal of the campaign.
