Football betting tips for Tottenham vs Liverpool on Sunday when two of the Premier League’s form sides meet at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
A win for Spurs will take them level on points with second placed Liverpool, while all three points for the visitors could cut Arsenal’s lead at the top to two points depending on other results.

Tottenham enter the game having won four of their last five, and have not lost since their 6-0 pasting by Manchester City. Andre Villas-Boas had praised his sides commitment over recent weeks, and believes they are reaping the rewards of their hard work. The Spurs boss will also have taken great joy in seeing Roberto Soldado net a hattrick in their midweek win over Anzhi Makhachkala in the Europa League. Goals have been the one area his team have struggled with, and watching his side score four in a game for the first time since September will certainly instil confidence ahead of Sunday’s fixture.
Goals however isn’t an area that Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers will be worried about. His men have scored 17 in their last five, which even includes a shock loss to Hull City. They have found the net 34 times already this season, with only Manchester City scoring more so far (41 goals). Luis Suarez has been a revelation since his return, scoring and astonishing 15 goals in his 10 league games so far, including four against Norwich just over a week ago. The Reds will be without Captain Steven Gerrard who has a hamstring problem, and the other side to their striking duo, Daniel Sturridge. The England forward has possible ligament damage and could be out for up to six week over the festive periods which sees trips to Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as White Hart Lane.

Spurs will be looking to keep Suarez under wraps on Sunday in an attempt to mirror the scoreline from the same fixture last year. The London side won’t be able to rely on the goal scoring from of Gareth Bale this time though, and will have to hope that Soldado can reproduce his midweek performance. Villas-Boas has no new real injury concerns ahead of the game, which may mean Jermain Defoe will drop to the bench at the expense of Soldado.
In what will undoubtedly be a lively affair on Sunday, these two form sides go in to the game looking to continue their winning ways. Spurs haven’t beaten a team above them in the league so far this season, but will believe their current form gives them a very realistic chance. Tottenham are at odds of 6/4 (William Hill) to beat Liverpool. The visitors will be hoping Suarez can continue his recent exploits, as goals seem hard to come by from anywhere else on the pitch. William Hill have them at odds of 2/1 for the win. The draw is priced at 5/2 with Bet Victor.
Spurs have a decent defensive record this season, actually conceding two less than Liverpool so far. Under 2.5 goals at 41/40 with Bet365 could be tempting. Form dictates though that both of these sides could cancel each other out, so both teams to score and a draw at 15/4 with Stan James is attractive.
