This will be the fourth consecutive summer that Liverpool have made the short trip to Tranmere Rovers and there is always a decent crowd at Prenton Park. The 2019 Champions League winners are playing their first match since that night in Madrid.
Liverpool usually take a lot of youngsters to this pre-season game so don’t expect to see many first team players feature. However, the likes of Simon Mignolet, Adam Lallana, Joel Matip and Divock Origi might play some part. Last season, Liverpool won the match 3-2 Camacho, Ojo and Adam Lallana and they’ll be hoping to get off to a winning start ahead of tougher fixtures against the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Napoli this summer.
Tranmere achieved back to back promotions last season thanks to a late winner in the League Two play-off final at Wembley, so are now preparing for life back in League One. There will be a few new signings on show for Micky Mellon’s side here but one player who won’t feature is the now departed James Norwood.
The Reds will want to get an early pre-season win under their belts here but these games are usually high scoring, and it would be no surprise to see Tranmere at least give their fans something to cheer about at Prenton Park. Last season they scored two late goals as Klopp put on all his youngsters, and a similar thing might happen again here.
When the odds become available, both teams to score is the first of our Liverpool vs Tranmere betting tips.
As well as this, we can have a correct score bet on this match and the selection is for Liverpool to get their fourth consecutive win at Prenton Park. A bet on Liverpool to win 3-1 also matches up with our both teams to score prediction so this one looks a good bet.
