Reasons for our Venezuela vs Peru Betting Tips
We’re backing the outsider in this match and that is because Venezuela have put up some decent displays in their warm-up matches. On the flip side of that, Peru don’t have a good record away from their own country and that could cause them problems in Brazil. They’ve only won one of their last eight matches outside of their own country and that was a 2-0 win over Australia at the World Cup. To add to that, they failed to score in World Cup matches against France and Denmark. Since the World Cup, Los Incas have lost 2-1 against both Germany and Netherlands, and drawn 1-1 against the United States.
Venezuela played USA in their last Copa America warm-up match and ran out 3-1 winners. That was an impressive performance against a strong USA team. Of their other form outside of Venezuela, a 3-1 win against Argentina catches the eye and they’ve lost just once in their last 11 away matches.
Given that we are betting on the first shock of the Copa America happening in just the second match, we can also have a bet on a correct score prediction in this one. Peru have scored against both Germany and Netherlands in recent friendlies and they managed a 1-0 home win against Costa Rica, so it would be no shock to see them score in this game, however a 2-1 Venezuela win is our correct score tip for this one at the generous looking odds of 12/1 with Coral.
What’s a good anytime goalscorer tip for Venezuela vs Peru?
In the aforementioned 3-0 win over the United States last time our, Newcastle’s Salomon Rondon scored a couple of goals to continue his hot-streak from the end of the Premier League season. The big striker has also scored five goals in his last seven matches for La Vinotinto. Jose Paolo Guerrero is the favourite in the anytime scorer odds and he’s bagged 27 goals in his illustrious career for his country.
