Napoli vs Inter

Marcelo Brozovic to be carded/Draw or Inter Milan double chance/Over 0 goals for Inter Milan (5/1 Bet365)

Brozovic has made 46 tackles and 29 fouls in 23 games this season, being booked 4 times. He is a player that has got stuck in throughout his career, being carded 77 times in 301 career appearances. He has also been booked in 2 of his last 4 games against Napoli. Napoli have played 24 games this season, 11 of them have been up against a midfield consisting of two central midfielders, and in 4 of these 11, an opposition midfielder has been booked. However, when playing against a midfield consisting of three central midfielders, the formation that Inter use, an opposition central midfielder has been booked in 8 out of 13 games. This shows an increased likelihood of an opposition central midfielder being carded against Napoli when they come up against a 3 in midfield. The Inter midfielders will be up against it and Brozovic will be forced into making tackles and fouls. Doveri is the referee here, he has given 18 cards in his last 4 games including 7 in his last game. Inter Milan have not lost in the last 5 meetings between these sides, scoring in all 5 games. They sit top of the division and have scored in 10 of their 11 away games this season.

AC Milan vs Sampdoria

Morten Thorsby to be carded/AC Milan to win/Both teams to receive a card (11/5 Bet365)

Sampdoria central midfielder Morten Thorsby is the highest fouling player in the division this season, making 61 fouls in 22 games, making at least a foul in every single game and he made 6 in his last game which was a 4-0 win against Sassuolo. He has been booked 9 times this season, which is not a surprise considering he was booked 10 times last season and also kept up an average of over 2 fouls per game. An opposition central midfielder has been booked against AC Milan this season in 13 of their 24 games and with them being the home side here, Thorsby is expected to be up against it from the start. Chiffi is the referee for this game and he has given 35 yellow cards in 8 games this season. AC Milan sit third with a strong home record, against 16th Sampdoria who have a poor away record. It is expected that they would win this game, and both sides have received a card in each of their last 5 meetings.

Sassuolo vs Roma

Marash Kumbulla to be carded/Over 2 goals in the match/Both teams to score (15/4 Bet365)

Roma’s left centre-back is likely to be Kumbulla in the absence of Ibanez, and he will be directly facing Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi, the joint-second most fouled player per game in the league this season (fouled 50 times in 21 games). In 9 of his 21 games, a left sided opposition player was booked, being the LCB on 5 occasions. Kumbulla has been booked twice this season, despite only starting 5 games, making 7 fouls in those 5 games. He received 7 yellows last season for Roma despite starting only 14 games. The referee here is Guida who has given 32 yellow cards in 8 games this season. In 4 of their last 5 meetings, both sides have scored, and in each of these 4 games, there were over 2 goals scored. 2 of the 4 games finished 4-2, one to each side. Goals are expected again here.

Atalanta vs Juventus

Manuel Locatelli to be carded/Both teams to score/Both teams to receive a card (4/1 Bet365)

Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli has received 5 cards in 16 starts this season, making 26 fouls. He has only made 4 fouls in a game once this season, and this was in the reverse fixture against Atalanta, a game in which he was carded. An opposition central midfielder has been booked against Atalanta in 11 of their 23 games. With these sides sitting fourth and fifth in the division, players are expected to get stuck in. Atalanta have scored in 9 of their 11 home games and Juventus have scored in 11 of their 12 away games this season and this should be an end to end game. Both sides have received a card in each of their last 5 meetings also.
