Have Leicester found their replacement for Harry Maguire?

Harry Maguire next club

With Harry Maguire set to leave Leicester City thsi summer, Brendan Rodgers may have already identified his number one target to replace the England man.

Rumors circulating today say that Leicester will look to sign Burnley’s James Tarkowski this summer, in a deal worth around £40million. The defender has two England caps and with Burnley not wanting to sell their prized asset, Leicester may be forced to pay over the odds for Maguire’s England colleague.

There is no deal finalised for Harry Maguire yet, but the England central defender looks set to leave the King Power Stadium – with both Manchester clubs in pole position to sign the defender.

That would leave a huge gap in Rodgers’ defence, and a swelled bank account if the fee for Maguire does reach the expected £80million.

Who will replace Harry Maguire at Leicester?

Burnley James Tarkowski

Other than Tarkoswki, there has not been any more names linked with Leicester, however, they have already signed former Newcastle front-man Ayoze Perez and are on the brink of concluding a deal for Youri Tielemans before the Aston Villa v Sheffield United predictions and betting tips get underway on Wednesday. The Belgian midfielder was on loan at the King Power last season and Leicester look to have beaten off competition from Everton, Tottenham and Manchester United for his signature.

That means they would have spent around £80m already this summer, and with a potential £40m swoop for Tarkowski in the pipeline too, the Harry Maguire transfer fee money could have already been spent.
