Reports: Real Madrid open for a Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale swap

Since announcing publically that he was dreaming of a move to Real Madrid, speculation surrounding Paul Pogba’s future has really started to intensify.

In another twist, Spanish news outlet Don Balon are reporting that Los Blancos are willing to part with one of their biggest stars in order to secure the 26-year-olds services.

Reports coming out of Madrid are suggesting that President Florentino Pérez is prepared to offer Manchester United £52million plus Gareth Bale.

Could a Pogba Bale swap be on the cards?

While Pogba’s future at Old Trafford swings in the balance, another superstar who finds himself in a similar position is Gareth Bale.

In a season that has been riddled with injuries and struggling to feature under former Madrid boss Santiago Solari, the Welsh winger has managed just eight goals in La Liga during the 2018-19 campaign.

With Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett publically stating that the club’s supporters are “nothing short of a disgrace” last month, many around the Bernabeu believe the 29-year-olds tenure at Madrid is drawing to an end.

Helping the Spanish giants pick up three Champions League winners medals during his six-year stay in the capital, Manchester United have reportedly remained a strong admirer of the former Spurs man.

If the Red Devils are to finally bring Bale back to the Premier League then they may have to part with Pogba.

Despite scoring twice from the spot in United’s 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday many feel that the midfielder will not extend his contract that is due to end in 2021.

While Pogba appeared to show signs of leading United’s resurge after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival back in December, the World Cup-winner came under heavy scrutiny for his comments regarding a potential move to Los Blancos.

Speaking while away on international duty last month, Pogba discussed his desire to play under Zinedine Zidane at Madrid.

“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,”

“There is also [Zinedine] Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.”

While Pogba might be looking to secure a second exit from Old Trafford, United directors are not willing to let the Frenchman leave on the cheap.

With so much speculation surrounding Pogba’s potential move to Madrid this summer, The Daily Mail are reporting that Manchester United have told the Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola that the 26-year-old is valued at £130million.
