Premier League Relegation Predictions

Bournemouth – 7/5 with Coral.

Eddie Howe and his Bournemouth side put themselves upon against England's biggest sides for the first time in their 125 year history when they open their season at home to Tim Sherwood's Aston Villa. Hosting the smallest but undoubtedly one of the most passionate home supports in the league, their opener is bound to be a fantastic occasion, however I don't see the good times lasting long on the south coast and the Championship winners will struggle to hit the highs they did last term and in the end will succumb to clubs with a much higher wage budget and level of experience. Bournemouth, I believe lack the cutting edge needed to find the net on a regular enough basis to survive and unless the owners pull off a coup, Corals offer of 7/5 for them to go down will be a good bet.

Leicester City – 7/2 with William Hill.

After their miracle escape last term, many believed that Nigel Pearson could go on to build something special. Things haven't planned out like they might have – mainly down to some rather unsavoury incidents on the teams post season tour of Thailand and it has all led to ex Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri being appointed. When Pearson was sacked many – included myself – wanted and expected a young hungry manager but with the installation of a man who has failed to light up anywhere he has been since leaving Stamford Bridge, most notably a hugely disappointing spell in charge of the Greek national side, I feel this may turn out to be a poor appointment. Along with the loss of their hugely influential midfielder Estian Cambiasso, I feel the foxes luck may just have ran out. William Hill are offering top price 7/2 that the King Power stadium will host Championship football come 2016.

Watford – 4/5 with Coral.

Watford are a team who have been strengthening throughout pre-season and have signed no less than 9 new faces. With the financial backing of Giampaolo Pozzo and the wealth of talent which comes from Udinese, many may see Watford competing in the top flight. However, they have yet to go out and sign a player of real premier league pedigree and as much as teamwork and determination will go far, we only have to look at Burnley, who last season struggled to compete with the big spending of others in the division. The Londoners are odds on with Coral to go down and you can pick up 4/5 with them that they will languish near the bottom of the pile come May.

This season promises to be as action packed as ever but with the standards so high, the teams mentioned are really going to find it tough to compete and it will all inevitably end in tears come final day in May.

Relegation Accumulator Odds – 15/1 with William Hill.
