When Liverpool were trying to beat Manchester City to the league title in the 2018/19, the Merseyside derby was seen as a massive game in the title race and when Everton held their rivals to a 0-0 draw, their fans did not hold back with the banter towards the Reds.

The club are currently in the process of designing and building a new Everton stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock at Liverpool waterfront. The club hope to build a 52,000 seater stadium with the propect of extending it to 62,000 in the future.
