Everton Fans bump into Liverpool fans at Lime Street Station

Everton played Tottenham Hotspur in London on the last day of the season, and their train arrived back in Liverpool, just as some Liverpool fans were making their way home from Anfield. You can guess what happened next.

After Liverpool’s failure to win the league title thanks to Manchester City’s win at Brighton, the Everton fans made their feelings perfectly clear throughout the afternoon, including celebrating City’s win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while their match was still going on.

The last time Liverpool dropped points in the Premier League title race was at Goodison Park, and the Blues have not forgotten that, as you can see from the video below.

The first chant Everton fans dished out to the Liverpool fans was “You Nearly Won the League” as the video pans to a few Liverpool fans standing behind a lime of police. It was not the day Liverpool fans hoped for after beating Wolves 2-0, but Brighton couldn’t hold onto the advantage after taking a 1-0 lead over Man City at the Amex Stadium. City ended up running out 4-1 winners and Pep Guardiola’s side got their hands on another Premier League title.

On exiting the ground after commentating on the match, Gary Neville was soaked with booze from the Man City fans outside the AMEX Stadium, despite him making it perfectly clear he wanted the blue side of Manchester to win the title, ahead of Liverpool.

There has been another video of Everton fans found on Twitter of them singing, “We’re gonna have a party, when Tottenham win the cup” during their away day at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Despite Everton picking up a 2-2 draw in North London, it feels like the Everton fans had their minds elsewhere!
