First Premier League Manager to be Sacked Odds – 2019/20 Season
The next manager to be sacked market is always a popular one for punters to bet on and this season will be no different. There are a few names who are unlikely to leave such as Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, but out of the other Premier League managers at the start of the 2019/20 season, who will be the first to be sacked?
Next Premier League Manager to be Sacked Odds
In the latest betting odds, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is favourite to be the first manager to leave his post this season at 4/1. Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is a 6/1 shot and new Brighton manager Graham Potter is 7/1.
We’re then into double-figure odds for the other manager and three are currently 14/1 with Betfair – Chris Wilder, Frank Lampard and Dean Smith. Norwich manager Daniel Farke is at 16/1 along with Watford manager Javi Gracia, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini and Everton manager Marco Silva.
It’s 20/1 for Arsenal to lose patience with Unai Emery early in the season and the same odds for Southampton and Ralph Hasenhuttl to part ways.
Recently appointed Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is a 25/1 shot in the Premier League sack race and Sean Dyche and Nuno Espirito Santo are both 40/1.
Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with some big jobs but he remains at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. At 66/1 he could be a decent bet to be the first to leave his post as even if he isn’t sacked, your bet would still be a winner.
The two outsiders are the top two in the Premier League from last season – Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
Next Manager to leave betting tips
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the current favourite but he will be given time to turn the fortunes around at Old Trafford, so it looks much more likely that one of the names behind him will be the first to lose their jobs in the Premier League this season.
Crystal Palace have already lost Aaron Wan Bissaka to Manchester United and Wilfried Zaha also looks set to leave the club, so Roy Hodgson will have his work cut out with a much weaker squad this season. The former England boss guided Palace to safety last season but he will need to spend wisely in the transfer market if he is to replace the departed Wan-Bissaka and potential departure of star-man Wilfried Zaha, who looks set to join either Everton or Arsenal.
Palace started last season badly and another run of early bad results could leave Roy Hodgson in danger of being sacked.
At odds of 6/1 with Betfair, Roy Hodgson is the first of our Premier League managers to be sacked betting tips.[inline_advert ad=”1″]
Other contenders for next Premier League manager to be sacked
Dean Smith 14/1
The newly promoted clubs usually give their managers time to find their feet in the Premier League and this will have to be true of Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Norwich City this season. Villa have spent big on a lot of recruits during the transfer window and Dean Smith will need to ensure the players bed into the side before their opening Premier League fixture against Tottenham on Saturday 10th August.
Chris Wilder 14/1
It is expected that Sheffield United will give home-town hero Chris Wilder every chance to succeed with his budget squad so he wouldn’t be a consideration for the first manager to be sacked tips this season.
Daniel Farke 16/1
The same applies to Norwich manager Daniel Farke, who deserves every chance to prove himself in the Premier League after a remarkable performance from his side to win the Sky Bet Championship last season.
Frank Lampard 16/1
It would be a shame to see Frank Lampard booted out of the Stamford Bridge door this season given his stature in the club but Roman Abramovich does have a tendency to be trigger happy as he showed when Jose Mourinho was the first manager to be sacked back in the 2007/08 season at odds of 100/1.
Marco Silva 16/1
The other name we are interested in for our next Premier League manager to be sacked predictions is Everton’s Marco Silva. It looked like his job was on the line through the middle of last season before some good performances saw them win against Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal at Goodison Park. Everton have spent an awful lot of money in recent seasons with very little reward and having being linked with a number of high profile players this summer including Zaha and Moise Kean, the Blues owner will not hang around if the job is not getting done on the pitch.
Silva divides the Everton fans and when Goodison Park turns on a manager, there is only one result. Just ask Sam Allardyce, Ronald Koeman and Roberto Martinez.
At odds of 16/1, Marco Silva looks a lively outsider for the first Premier League manager to be sacked this season.[inline_advert ad=”2″]
