Five Premier League Betting Tips for this Weekend – 20-21st October

The Premier League returns this weekend and we’re back into the action with a huge game on Saturday lunchtime when Chelsea host former boss Jose Mourinho and Manchester United. Liverpool are in action at 5.30pm and there are Sunday and Monday matches.

As the action from the top flight gets back into full swing, we can dip into the betting markets for this weekend’s Premier League betting tips, and we’re kicking off with a bet from the big match at Stamford Bridge. There are three more selections from the Saturday fixtures before the fifth betting tip comes from a Super Sunday game.

 

Chelsea vs Manchester United Betting Tip

United just about got back to winning ways when they cam from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle 3-2 before the international break, but this is a very different test against a Chelsea team who have made a flying start to life under new manager Sarri. Edin Hazard has stepped his performances up once again and he is the catalyst of this brilliant Chelsea side. With home advantage, and a frail Manchester United team both on and off the pitch, it is hard to see anything but a win for Chelsea here.

The odds for a Chelsea victory are only around the 4/6 mark but that is a good bet to add to your football accumulator on Saturday, unless you have suspicions about adding the early game to any bets! Man United have already lost to Brighton and West Ham away from home this season while Chelsea are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge so far this season.

Cardiff vs Fulham Betting Tip

Neither of these promoted teams have found their feet in the Premier League of yet, but Cardiff are struggling more than Fulham. They’ve only picked up two points so far and are currently on a losing streak of six matches. In this time they’ve seen both teams score in four of them and they do tend to sneak a goal even though they’re losing matches. They scored two at home to Arsenal and netted in the 2-1 home defeat to Burnley, both teams to score could be a wise bet here.

Fulham have had a very indifferent and inconsistent set of results in the Premier League and have been hard to predict. They were thrashed 5-1 at home to Arsenal before the international break and lost 3-0 to Everton before that. They have had a tough run of fixtures and we’re expecting them to get on the scoresheet for our Premier League betting tips this weekend.

West Ham vs Tottenham Betting Tip

Fresh from his three assists against Spain for England, Harry Kane is back in domestic action for this London derby on Saturday and he’s the selection for the next of our football predictions. The striker has been in good form in the last few weeks despite reports of fatigue following the World Cup. He scored twice in the win over Huddersfield and also found the net against Barcelona in the Champions League. We’re predicting goals in this match but the best bet could be for Harry Kane to score first.

He’s always a reliable punt on the first goalscorer market and given that West Ham have had a mixed bag of results this season, it’d be no surprise to see Tottenham not only take the lead through Harry Kane, but win the match.

Huddersfield vs Liverpool Betting Tip

The next Premier League tip for this weekend comes from the 5.30pm kick-off when high flying Liverpool travel to Huddersfield. The hosts are really struggling this season and have only picked up three points so far. They’re yet to win a match and that won’t change on Saturday. They’re yet to score at home this season, losing to Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Chelsea and drawing 0-0 with Cardiff. It could be a long night for the Huddersfield fans here and we’re betting on Liverpool to win to nil for our recommended bet.

Liverpool kept their unbeaten run going thanks to a late wonder goal by Daniel Sturridge against Chelsea, but they put in a poor performance against Napoli in the Champions League were lucky to escape the match with Manchester City with a draw after Riyhad Mahrez skied his penalty. The last three fixtures between these sides have ended with Liverpool winning to nil so that’s the selection for this weekend’s football tips.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Betting Tip

Both teams to score is the obvious bet here because of Everton’s defensive struggles – they’ve only kept one clean sheet in the Premier League this season. Palace are another team who have struggled to put a run of results together and go into this match off the back of two losses – to Bournemouth and Wolves. If Palace are to score in this match then it’s likely to be Wilfried Zaha who gets the goal and we’re completing this weekend’s Premier League betting tips with Zaha to score anytime. He is Palace’s top scorer so far with three goals and is easily their best, and most important player.

Richarlison would be the selection from an Everton point of view of the in-form Sigurdsson, who won the match at Leicester two weeks ago with a wonder goal. However, because Palace are away from home we are getting a bit more value out of a bet on Zaha so he is the selection for our final betting tip this weekend.
