Fulham vs Manchester United Preview

There’s no two ways about it, Fulham are swimming against the tide with games rapidly running out. Currently seven points adrift with mid-February fast approaching, Claudio Ranieri’s side are in need of a miracle if they are to survive.

Unfortunately for them, the 20-time English champions visit Craven Cottage this weekend. United have looked a different animal since Jose Mourinho was relieved of his duties and I fully expect their exceptional form to continue for another week at least. The Red Devils are a massive 8/5 shot to win this one by two goals or more, which looks a no brainer given that Fulham have won only twice in the Premier League since November.

Fulham vs Manchester United Predictions

Paul Pogba is one man who has certainly benefited from the change of manager with the Frenchman now showing why he was an ever-present in France’s World Cup winning side last summer. The former Juventus midfielder is currently Manchester United’s top scorer in the league and has chipped in with nine goals and eight assists to date.

The shackles have very much been removed from Pogba’s shoulders and it shows in his performances. You can get a hefty 8/5 on him scoring anytime which looks cracking value given his recent form. Would you back against the dynamic midfielder reaching double figures for the season when his side take to the field at Craven Cottage? We wouldn’t.

Solskjaer’s arrival has undoubtedly done wonders for most of his squad with all factions of the team’s play seeming slicker and more measured than it had been in the build-up to Christmas. Scoring goals now looks the easiest thing in the world and has been coupled by a sturdiness at the back that has culminated in United winning close-fought games against both Leicester and Spurs.

This could and should be a stroll in the park for United if they replicate the sort of intent shown since the new year, and a 3-0 score line would be very much in line with the respective form of both teams involved. This is a lengthy 14/1 shot with 10bet but looks good value given the above factors.
