Liverpool fan gets Divok Origi tattoo after Twitter promise

The Merseyside derby at Anfield this season will be remembered for Jordan Pickford’s fumble, Divok Origi’s winner and Jurgen Klopp’s celebration, but one Liverpool fan has got a life-time memory on his leg after that Origi goal.

When Origi came on as a late substitute with eight minutes of the Merseyside derby left, Liverpool fan @ForeverRed98 on Twitter sent out this Tweet:

He couldn’t have expected Origi to get a goal, the Belgian striker has had a lengthy injury lay-off and hadn’t scored for Liverpool for almost 18 months. After coming on Origi smashed the crossbar from about 5 yards out before the drama unfolded in the 96th minute.

A Liverpool corner resulted in Virgil Van Dijk skewing a volley high into the air and Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford seemed unsure whether it was going to drop in under his cross bar. In trying to keep the ball out he diverted it onto his crossbar before it landed right into Origi’s path, who smashed the ball home from no more than two yards.

Cue the wild celebrations at Anfield, and the realisation for this Liverpool fan that he would now have to keep to his work, and get the ‘Divok’ tattoo he promised.

After the final whistle, he promised to keep to his work and vowed to get the tattoo.

The Day of the Divok Tattoo

Fast forward a few days and the update the whole of Twitter was waiting for, the lad was booked in for his Divok Origi tattoo. He managed to find a tattoo shop in Liverpool city centre and showed his followers the proof that he was booked in.

The Finished Article

After going through the pain for the crack, the Liverpool fan was ready to reveal the masterpiece.

Not only has he got DIVOK in big letters on his thigh, but he has made it extra special by getting the 1-0 in there, a touch to the result of the Merseyside Derby at Anfield this weekend.

You cannot say this Liverpool fan is not a man of his word!

Thanks Divok.
