Manchester City demolished Cardiff at the weekend, producing the sort of devastating display we witnessed on a regular basis as they romped to the title last season. Pep Guardiola’s side are one of three teams still unbeaten domestically and face a struggling Brighton side on Saturday. The Seagulls are without a win in their last five games and will surely need to turn in one of their best performances in recent years if they are to head back to the south coast with anything other than a defeat to show for their efforts. I like the look of City winning this one to nil  for my Manchester City vs Brighton predictions given that they’ve conceded just three times since the season began, with Coral offering the best price at 4/7.

As we’ve come to expect, City are already by far and away the Premier League’s highest scorers – and that’s after just six games played! Some pundits questioned whether they were the same team that enthralled us last season but there’s little to suggest that might not be the case. This notion is quite clearly shared by those who compile the sportsbooks, too, despite losing at home to Lyon in the Champions League last week. I fancy the Premier League champions to dish out another drubbing, with 3-0 being my correct score prediction. The fact that this is as short as 6/1 and the lowest priced outcome suggests that I’m not alone in expecting Pep’s men to stroll it.
