Spurs vs Bournemouth Predictions and Betting Tips: Premier League Preview

Tottenham Harry Kane

Spurs vs Bournemouth predictions and betting tips for this Premier League match on Boxing Day with an anytime goalscorer prediction included.

Expert Tipster Prediction: It’s a quick turnaround for Spurs, who demolished Everton on Sunday. The North London outfit have been in superb form and they will be expected to dispatch of Bournemouth at Wembley on Boxing Day. The hosts are around 1/3 to collect three points and it should be fairly straightforward. The Cherries have been slapdash on the road recently and they’ve already been defeated by Burnley, Wolves and Newcastle on the road. Eddie Howe’s men could struggle against a lively Spurs side who even without Dele Ali should have enough to overcome the -1 handicap. Last year, the hosts only scored once but they’ve ran out 3-0 and 4-0 victors previously and they should be able to continue their good record against this opposition.

Spurs vs Bournemouth Prediction

Spurs are likely to be included in many festive accumulators but they are far too short to back here. Their recent form is very impressive and the fact that Mauricio Pochettino’s side scored six on Sunday is a huge positive. That victory at Goodison puts them back in the mix and they are just two points off Manchester City now. They may miss Dele Ali for this game but they have more than enough class to compensate for that potential loss. Bournemouth beat Brighton courtesy of a David Brooks double at the weekend but they are much weaker away from home. Outside of the Vitality, Eddie Howe’s side have conceded seven goals in their last three games. The -1 handicap would have landed four times this season against Bournemouth and in each of the Cherries’ last two away games. It would have landed three times for Spurs at Wembley this season including against Chelsea. Occasionally, Spurs simply turn up and collect three points and a 1-0 win would scupper us here but I’m confident that they can overcome this handicap prediction this weekend. It’s the first of our Spurs vs Bournemouth betting tips for this Boxing Day clash.

Spurs vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

Spurs have only kept two clean sheets at home this season but they have managed to keep both Burnley and Leicester off the scoresheet recently. Bournemouth traditionally struggle to score against Spurs on the road and their failure to score against Wolves recently is a concern for BTTS backers here. The market is clearly finding it difficult to decide which way this is going with the prices in the BTTS market fairly even. The Cherries have netted 11 times on the road this season but seven of those came in two matches against Fulham and Watford. They did score against Manchester City but failed to breach the Chelsea back-line. It could go either way but recent history suggests that Bournemouth don’t find the net here. Last season, they only failed to score seven times on the road and Wembley was one of the places where they drew a blank. Both Teams to Score? No is the second of our Spurs vs Bournemouth betting tips.

Son was back amongst the goals on Sunday night with the South Korean netting twice against Everton. He will miss part of January due to his International commitments and he’ll be keen to add to his tally before he departs for the Asian Games. He is able to stay with Spurs until mid-January after agreeing to miss the opening couple of matches and he is likely to be given the nod by Pochettino here. He didn’t get his first goal until the end of October this season but he now has eight and will be keen to reach double figures before 2019. He netted twice against Eddie Howe’s side last season when they met at the Vitality and he could cause problems for the Cherries once again here. Son is the third of our Spurs vs Bournemouth predictions for Boxing Day.

Spurs vs Bournemouth Match Preview

There are always plenty of goals between these two sides but the majority of them tend to arrive on the South Coast. Over 2.5 Goals is as short as 1/2 for this fixture and fresh from hitting six on Sunday, Spurs will be confident of bagging a few here. It’s 6/5 for Over 3.5 Goals in this fixture whilst it’s also 11/10 for Spurs to score Over 2.5 team goals which would have landed in three of their last five home games in all competitions.

Bet365 offer 5/6 for a goal to arrive before the 24th minute and that could be another way in here.

A number of Spurs players got on the scoresheet on Sunday including Harry Kane who is 11/5 to break the deadlock here. Son is 5/1 whilst Lucas Moura is just behind him in the betting at 11/2. Dele Ali is a doubt for this one and could remain on the sidelines alongside Serge Aurier, Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen.

If you do fancy a Bournemouth goal in this tie, David Brooks netted twice at the weekend and is available at 18/1 to bag the opener.
