Watford are teetering above the drop zone at the time of writing.

Southampton are down in 14th place in the table but 10 points above the relegation zone.

Watford are just one point from safety having suffered a narrow defeat at the hands of Burnley on Thursday. Southampton also lost on Thursday, going down to 2-0 to Arsenal.

Watford put up a good fight against Burnley but ultimately did not show enough going forward. Southampton have been unpredictable in recent weeks and Jack Stephen’s suspension may just open the door for Watford to take something.
