Willian Transfer Odds – Tottenham Favourites to Land Brazilian from Chelsea

Willian next club transfer odds

Chelsea’s Brazilian winger, Willian, is in the final year of his contract with the Blues and is yet to sign an extension but will he really leave the club this summer and what are the latest Willian transfer odds?

By the time next season kicks off, Willian will be 32 and may well be playing his football away from Stamford Bridge. His importance to the first team has diminished over the course of the season and there is every chance he chooses to move on.

Here are Willian’s most likely destinations and the latest transfer odds ahead of the 2020/21 season.

William to Stay at Chelsea Odds – 5/4

It may be time to move on for Willian with plenty of competition for attacking places in the Chelsea squad and the possibility that Jadon Sancho could move to Chelsea. Willian is unlikely to get the playing time he’s after with the Blues and as was the case with David Luiz at the start of the season, Lampard will make it clear if he is surplus to requirements.

Whilst staying at Chelsea is the current bookies’ favourite option, a move away looks to be a more probable move that would suit both player and club.

Tottenham – 7/2

The current favourites to be his next club in the William transfer odds are London rivals Tottenham. Aside from the bitter rivalry between the two sides, there are plenty of other ties between Willian and Spurs.

The Brazilian famously snubbed Tottenham after undergoing a medical with the North Londoners to sign for Chelsea. Willian is hardly popular with Spurs fans for exactly that reason, so would have his work cut out to win them over.

Former manager José Mourinho would play a key role in enticing Willian to make the move across London.

Liverpool – 5/1

The runaway Premier League leaders are next in line to sign Willian this summer. The club certainly have the pedigree and pulling power that would match Willian’s ambition and the move would make sense from the Reds’ point of view.

Liverpool are somewhat short in attacking options outside of the first team and Willian would be a quality addition. However, Chelsea’s no. 22 will know that game time would be at a premium at Anfield if Sadio Mane and Mo Salah both remain at the club this summer.

Arsenal – 5/1

The Gunners could offer more first-team chances and would allow Willian to remain in London. From Arsenal’s perspective, the move would bolster their attack and add a bit more experience to the squad. Unfortunately, Arsenal’s lack of Champions League qualification would probably be a deal-breaker for Willian.

Juventus – 7/1

Linking up with another former Chelsea boss in Maurizio Sarri at Juventus is definitely a possibility. Willian has never played in another top-five European league but the prospect of competing for the Champions League would definitely be an enticing prospect.

Manchester United – 7/1

Should United fail to secure Champions League qualification, this one appears to be a no-go.

Barcelona – 12/1

They’ve had bids rejected as recently as 2019. If Barca renew their interest, this may well be Willian’s preferred option and the price is good for Barcelona in the Willian transfer odds.
