Wolves vs Watford Predictions

After a decent start to the season, Watford now suddenly look to be on a bit of a downward trend albeit they still sit in in the top half of the Premier League table. Their opponents this weekend, Wolves, have been lauded nationwide for the impressive way in which they’ve adapted to top flight competition – playing some excellent football in the process. Wanderers are just three points off a Champions League spot but still look as though they’ve got another gear or two to find. I think this could be the weekend where everything clicks for the home side and the fact that Watford are missing two of their usual back line due to suspension only reinforces my confidence. I’m backing the hosts to score at least twice during the match, which is 8/11 with William Hill.

Wolves vs Watford Anytime Goalscorer Odds

There’s no doubt that Wolves have made huge strides both on and off the pitch in the last 18 months or so, and this has allowed them to attract a number of players from some of Europe’s biggest leagues. The acquisition of Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica already looks a shrewd bit of business, and the Mexico international didn’t take long to get off the mark in the Premier League. Having attained almost 70 caps for his country, Jimenez carries the sort of pedigree that Wolves fans could only have dreamed of a short while back. He’s 7/4 to notch anytime with Betway this weekend.

Wolves vs Watford Match Result Market Odds

I think there’s some real value in backing Wolves to win on Saturday, particularly with 5/6 up for grabs (Ladbrokes). It’s easy to say that Nuno Santo’s men should be surpassing expectations given their significant financial outlay, but plenty of teams have thrown money at their playing staff with little to no avail. Wolves have lost just once in eight matches and held champions Manchester City earlier in the season. They’re also unbeaten at Molineux so far. For these reasons, I believe they’re worth including and would be surprised if Watford spoiled the party given their recent form.

Wolves vs Watford Match Result Betting Preview

Wolves to win – 5/6

Draw – 13/5

Watford to win – 7/2

I’ve already made my thoughts on this match clear and find it difficult to make a case for supporting Watford this time around. The Hornets are around the 7/2 mark to take all three points back to Hertfordshire here, but I can’t really see that happening.

With that said, Javi Garcia’s men do average scoring more than a goal per game on their travels which makes a both teams to score punt worth consideration. You can get even money on this market, which, given the above, looks a little lengthy.
