Aston Villa and Leicester do battle for a place at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final tonight, when they play the second leg of their semi-final that is finely poised at 1-1.

We’re predicting goals in tonight’s clash at Villa Park but what are the best betting tips for the match?

The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium, after Aston Villa took a shock lead in the first half through Guilbert, before Iheanacho got an equaliser with 15 minutes left.

Aston Villa vs Leicester Predictions

The home side will fancy their chances of causing a bit of an upset here and they will be delighted to still be in the tie after what could have been a tricky first leg.

Even though they picked up a draw, Villa were outplayed for large parts of the match and the stats of that game make encouraging reading for Leicester.

They had 21 shots to Villa’s three, and almost 70% of the possession.

Looking ahead to tonight’s Villa vs Leicester predictions, the Foxes look like they’re back to form and put four past West Ham in their last Premier League match. They followed that up with a 1-0 win at Brentford in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Dean Smith’s Villa got a vital win in their last Premier League game at home to Watford, and they’ve had a full week to prepare for this tie. They have scored in their last 11 home matches and that will give them a real hope of getting through to the final tonight. Leicester always score goals so both teams to score looks a banker here, but the odds are short.

For the first of my betting tips on this game, I’m going for Leicester to win and both teams to score in the match. They were seconds away from at 2-1 win at Everton in the last round before eventually winning on penalties, and their current form means they should win at Villa Park tonight.

Aston Villa vs Leicester Betting Odds

  • Aston Villa to win – 15/4
  • Draw – 31/10
  • Leicester to win – 4/6

Leicester are favourites to win this match and Villa are the outsiders at almost 4/1, with home advantage this will be a tempting bet to some punters. The Villa Park crowd will act as the 12th man in the game and if Jack Grealish is on song, Villa could realistically sneak a win. Even if penalties are needed to separate the sides, it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Aston Villa’s odds to qualify for the Carabao Cup final on penalties are 7/1.

Leicester to win on penalties is 6/1.

The clash between Jack Grealish and James Maddison will be interesting tonight, as they both look to force their way into Gareth Soughgate’s England squad for Euro 2020.

James Maddison is 13/5 to score anytime at Coral, Grealish is 7/2 with Paddy Power.

Aston Villa vs Leicester Score Prediction

I’m fully expecting a close, but entertaining tie tonight with neither side setting up defensively. Leicester rarely keep clean sheets of late, with their four before the Brentford game having both teams score. Five of their last six in this competition have also had both teams scoring.

With Vardy back amongst the goals and James Maddison in great form in this competition, I’m expecting them to have a bit too much for Villa tonight.

The hosts are withour first choice striker Wesley through injury but are still capable of scoring goals with the likes of Grealish and El Ghazi tasked with that.

The score prediction for this match is a 2-1 victory for Leicester and the odds are 15/2 with bet365.
