Bolton play Walsall in of the less glamorous FA Cup third round matches this weekend and it looks hard to split two sides in poor form domestically. With that in mind, we’ve got a 6/1 correct score bet.
Championship side Bolton are in the relegation zone at present and League One Walsall are in danger of hurtling towards the drop zone in their league too. This FA Cup tie looks set to be a quiet affair and we’re struggling to pick a winner for our betting tips.
Bolton go into this tie off the back of their New Year’s Day 6-0 hammering at the hands of Hull City, and that is not the way any manager would want to prepare for an FA Cup tie. The Championship strugglers haven’t had much to shoout about in recent seasons and they’ve crashed out at the third round stage in the last two seasons.
Walsall aren’t faring much better in League One but have already picked up two respectable scouts in the competition this season, beating Coventry in round one and taking Sunderland to a replay (thanks to a 1-1 draw) before knocking them out with a 1-0 win at the Stadium of Light. It might be a step too far for Walsall to get the victory at the Macron Stadium this weekend but the 1-1 draw prediction suggests we’re hopeful of a positive result for Walsall.
