Bournemouth vs Brighton Predictions and Betting Tips: Premier League Preview

Bournemouth predictions

Bournemouth vs Brighton predictions and Premier League betting tips for this week’s fixture. Kick-off is 15:00 on Saturday 22nd December with little to separate these two teams as we enter the busy festive period.

Expert Tipster Prediction: If only home form was taken into consideration then Bournemouth would be in the bottom half of the table. Brighton themselves are poor away from home, so I can see it being a tight affair. Under 2.5 goals is even money and will attract its fair share of investment.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Predictions

Bournemouth have conceded 14 and scored the same amount in matches played at the Vitality Stadium but have struggled to impose themselves on visiting sides. The visit of Brighton, then, will be a welcome visit given that the Seagulls have struggled on the road this season. Chris Hughton’s men have scored just seven times away from home so far, winning only two of their nine away matches. I think Brighton could struggle to break the door down here based on their profligacy in front of goal in previous fixtures and can see them being edged out in a low-scoring affair. Of course, you can never completely rule out the possibility of a team scoring but when 11/10 is available on one or both teams failing to, I’m more than happy to take a chance.

What are the best odds on both teams not scoring when Bournemouth play Brighton? 11/10 with Bet365

Bournemouth vs Brighton Betting Tips

Callum Wilson appears to have recaptured the excellent form he was showing a couple of seasons ago before a nightmare injury cut his season short. His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by Gareth Southgate who handed the forward his first England call-up not so long ago. It’s no coincidence that Bournemouth’s Premier League win percentage is significantly higher with Wilson in the team, underlining his overall value to the club. Eddie Howe came out this week to quash transfer speculation relating to Wilson and firmly played down the suggestion that he could be sold in January. One thing we can be more optimistic about is the 26-year-old’s chances of scoring this weekend and adding to a decent tally of eight Premier League goals.

What are the odds for Callum Wilson to score against Brighton this weekend? 7/5 with Betway.

As alluded to above, I’m fairly confident that when these two south coast clubs clash on Saturday we won’t be seeing the goal-fest that neutrals will be hoping for. Brighton really do struggle away from the AMEX and a trip to Bournemouth can no longer be considered an easy place to pick up points for any side, never mind one of the division’s perceived weaker sides. A 0-0 borefest or slender 1-0 win for either team is my prediction here which ties in with my total goals prediction for this intriguing fixture. I really like the look of fewer than two goals being registered during the 90 minutes, which can be backed at almost 3/1 with various firms.

What are the odds for there being fewer than two goals here? 11/4 with Unibet.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Betting Odds

Bournemouth to win – 10/11

Draw – 13/5

Brighton to win – 7/2

Although Bournemouth’s home form hasn’t quite been where Cherries fans would like, you have to concede that they look a tempting inclusion for any accumulator backers this weekend. At just shy of evens, Howe’s troops look a worthy selection considering they’re paired up with one of the Premier League’s least successful teams as far as away results are concerned.

Brighton are a 7/2 poke for their trip west, while both teams scoring has been priced up at around 8/11 if you disagree with my theory that goals will be scarce!
