Tottenham vs Wolves Predictions and Betting Tips: Premier League Preview

Tottenham predictions

Tottenham and Wolverhampton Wanderers play in the last round of Premier League fixtures this year, with the former looking to at least maintain second spot following Manchester City’s recent dip in form.

Expert Tipster Prediction: Spurs have been scoring for fun lately, notching eleven in their last three hours of football. Wolves are by no means a bad side but I fully expect the Londoners to have too much for Wanderers here. A Tottenham victory by a two-goal margin or greater looks excellent value at 6/5.

Tottenham vs Wolves Predictions

Wolves will feel slightly irked to have ceded their top ten status after failing to beat Fulham on Boxing Day but they’re unlikely to be travelling to London expecting to beat Spurs. A few weeks ago, influential midfielder Christian Eriksen was asked by a journalist whether Tottenham was the best team in the capital – and his authoritative response of ‘yes’ has been substantiated so far. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have managed to leapfrog champions Manchester City in the table and will have even greater aspirations of surpassing current leaders Liverpool. A win here, then, is the minimum requirement. I can see Spurs dishing out a third successive hammering when Wolves visit Wembley today. They’re 6/5 to win the match with a -1 handicap which looks massive if recent form is anything to go by.

Tottenham vs Wolves Betting Tips

Over the past few weeks, we’ve become increasingly accustomed to seeing the creative but bizarre celebrations of Korean attacker Son Heung-Min – which can only mean one thing! The popular forward has been banging them in of late, registering a brace in each of his last two games and outshining talisman Harry Kane in the process. Bookmakers don’t seem to have reacted too much to Son’s impressive purple patch, however, and he’s still above evens at most firms to score at anytime today. William Hill are the most generous on this front, paying 11/10 on Son notching a goal at some stage during the 90 minutes.

I know it’s not a theme that will continue forever but that didn’t stop me gasping out loud at a market that caught my eye on the Spurs vs Wolves match. The last two games the Lilywhites have partaken in have yielded a ridiculous total of 13 goals, which I admit is an anomaly rather than a trend. With that said, they’re up against a Wolves side that have themselves demonstrated an ability to score and concede with some degree of regularity, which makes me think there could be a few goals here, too. For that reason, I’m simply astounded that bookmakers are willing to pay 2/1 on there being four goals or more scored when these two lock horns this afternoon. For me, an over 2.5 goal punt looks an absolute banker but the odds available on over 3.5 make it difficult to overlook – particularly when Spurs are firing on all cylinders at the moment. This may well come back to bite me come 5pm but at that price I’m more than willing to take a chance!
