13.50 Ascot

The first race on ITV is the BetfredTV Pat Eddery Stakes (Listed) over 7f and in this highly competitive class 1 race Twaasol will be looking to make it 3 from 3 for Owen Burrows and Martin Harley. He was last seen winning on Derby Day at Epsom over 6f. He is stepping up in trip here and this may help to bring out more potential. Naval Crown has raced over this distance when 3rd at Newmarket on his debut. He is shaped with plenty of promise and will look to improve again. Trainer Charlie Appleby won this last year with Al Dabaran. He will be one to watch in the market. Chindit for Richard Hannon and Pat Hobbs was impressive on his debut at Doncaster winning over this distance and is currently 12/1 for this isn’t a bad E/W bet but this is a tougher contest for sure. My Pick is SAEIQA for John Gosden and Frankie Dettori who was third in the Coventry Stakes at the royal meeting here last month. He is yet to win in his 2 starts but I feel he can correct that here and be a leading contender. Saint Lawrence will be looking to make improvements here also but I think SAEIQA holds strong form for this race and can mount a serious challenge to break his duct.

14.05 York

In the SkyBet Britain’s Most Popular Online Bookmakers EBF Stallions Fillies’ Handicap over 1m 2f 56y. I like the Look of GOLDEN HIND for David O’Meara and Shane Gray who has been promising in both starts over 7f and 1m. She is stepping up in trip again and is making a switch to handicapping. With the lowest weight in the race and being lightly raced I feel she can be a danger in this race. There is a lot to like about her. Award Scheme was a winner when last seen at Salisbury over 1m 2f winning by a neck 14 days ago. She has been given a 8lbs rise in weight and could be difficult to stop for the Queen Mother. Dawaaween has been going well for his new yard (James Bethell) but is stepping up in trip and is carrying top weight and that may be hard around here on his first trip over 1m 2f. Earth and Sky is another who will look to improve stepping up in trip and will look to be competitive again.

14.25 Ascot

Next up we have the 20 runner Moët & Chandon International Stakes (Heritage Handicap) and I am going for value here and my tip is VALE OF KENT (E/W) who was 4th in the Hunt Cup at the Royal Meeting and 2nd in Epsom at the start of the month. He didn’t show his full potential when last seen at Newmarket in the Bunbury Cup but I feel he can come back here and bounce back. Ebury was 6th in the Buckingham Palace over C&D and with Oisin Murphy booked on board, I feel that he can be well placed here. Mutamaasik was 3rd here in the same race as Ebury and has C&D form here and his last race should be forgotten about after finishing 19th out of 20 in the Burbury Cap. Shelir, Jack’s Point, Cliffs Of Capri, Chiefofchiefs, Blue Mist and Chiefofchiefs will be ones to watch out for in this. There are many to be respected in this field and will be one to watch for sure.

14.40 York

In the Sky Bet York Stakes (Group 2) over 1m 2f 56y, my selection is current Market favourite ELARQAM (NAP). He had a great year last year winning listed events and this race. He is the same weight as last years success and is dropping back down in trip after failing to make it home over 1m 4f at Ascot in the Hardwicke Stakes 36 days ago. I feel he can come back here and win this for a second Consecutive year for trainer Mark Johnston. Telecaster will look to be his biggest rival here and I believe Regal Reality could run a big race also.

15.00 Ascot

My Tip in the Betfred ‘Nifty Fifty’ Handicap over 1m is TSAR for Frankie Dettori and John Gosden. This could be Frankie’s day with winners and I feel TSAR can get the better off Johan for the win. He is given a 6lb rise after winning at Yarmouth 21 days ago but isn’t the high weight for this race that is Johan. I think the penalty can be navigated and there is more to come from the current market favourite. Evening Sun is stepping up in trip and with Ryan Moore booked on board they can progress further.

15.15 York

IRV for Hollie Doyle and Micky Hammond can have a say in the Sky Bet Club Handicap over 7f. He is a C&D winner here and is dropping back down in trip after finishing 2nd in a handicap at Thirsk. This is a harder race but I feel with Hollie Doyle on board anything could be possible. Elwazir will look to improve and is a low mileage horse and is stepping down in trip and could get a double for Jim Crowley. Orbaan was a winner of a C&D here 16 days ago and is top weight here and merits respect here. Same with the young gun Hartswood for Richard Fahey. But my tip is IRV is a strong E/W bet.

15.35 Ascot

Here we ave the big race of the day the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes over 1m 3f 211y. ENABLE (NB) is the one to beat here and with Aiden O’Brien Dominating the field, this will be a big test for her but I feel she can get the better of her rivals but It will be tough. Japan finished behind her in the Coral– Eclipse at Sandown and will step up in trip again and give ENABLE a runner for her money. Anthony Van Dyke the winner of last years Derby will be looking to get some form back and Sovereign will need to produce his very best here.

15.50 York

The Last race at York is the Sky Bet Most Extra Place Races Handicap (Div 1) over 6f and I like the look of QUEEN OF KALAHARI for Lewis Edmunds and trainer Les Eyre who was impressive at Newcastle in a 12 runner race handicap 56 days ago. She is 5 wins from her last 6 races and is stepping up in trip and should go well again. Tukhoom won a C&D here 7 days ago and despite a rise in weight he will look to give himself a good account for the win here again. Autumn Flight will look to be involved and Ugo Gregory is Down to a workable mark and is wearing blinkers for the first time.

16.10 Ascot

In the last race of the day on ITV it’s the Betfred.com Handicap over 1m 3f 211y and with bookies paying 4 places I am going for JUST THE MAN for Clive Cox’s and Adam Kirby. He was a three time winner last year and left it a little late at Kempton when last seen 24 days ago when 6th of 12. But he is 3lb lower now from when he last won in December and at 10/1 he holds good value so I am tipping him E/W. Another who holds claims at E/W is Frontispiece for Mrs A J Perrett and Jockey Ryan Moore who was 2nd of 8 at Newmarket 14 days ago. He was successful twice last year and is on a reasonable mark of 9st 10lbs. Mascat will look to be involved and Media Storm who has weight on his side (8st 9lbs) can come back from being beaten by a head at Kempton over 1m 4f. So the trip should suit him.
