ITV Racing Tips for Newmarket on Friday 5th June – Through the Card Betting Tips
The next meeting after Lockdown is at Newmarket on Friday 5th June 2020 and below are the Newmarket tips and ace preview for the 10 race card which gets underway 13.15.
There are four of these racing live on ITV Racing and we’ve got a tip for each one, as well as an amazing bet £10 get £60 in free bets sign-up bonus that you quite simply have to claim if you can.
OFFER – Bet £10 on the 1.50pm at Newmarket to get a £10 free bet for EACH of the six other ITV races at Newmarket and Lingfield.
Betway EBF Stallions Maiden Fillies’ Stakes 7f- 13.15
This race has cut up a bit with favourite Final Offer and Raoufah both coming out, so LAWAHED could be the best option for a bet.
Lawahed, currently 3/1 with Paddy Power who has James Doyle on board will be looking to get involved on their debut. Certainly another horse with strong family connections including Nabbeyl, Jebel Hatta and Dubai Duty Free.
Betway Handicap 6f- 13.50
Next up we have a Group 2 Handicap with current favourite Swindler looking to make it 3 wins out of 7 runs. Only failing to place once. He won on his latest outing when 10-3 favourite at Ascot over 6f beating Alkaraama last September. He ooks to be going in the right way and could feature again.
Other to keep tabs on are Dazzling Dan currently 11/2 with Sky Bet. A 3-time winner at 6f on good to soft ground, 4th to Tinto when last out at Ascot in October. Jockey Adam Kirby will be hoping that break has helped as he made progress last year.
Summerghand always runs his races and he is a winner eight races at 6f on good to firm and soft ground and on the AW. he is one to keep tabs on in the market betting.
But my pick for this handicap is GULLIVER stablemate to Sunnerghand he signed off his 2019 winning the Coral Sprint Trophy at York and returned this year to land a good win on the fibresand. My only concern here is he hasn’t been at the same form in his last two starts and he is carrying a little more weight than his rivals (9st 6lbs). But with him currently 11/1 with Sky Bet so I am going GULLIVER E/W.
Betway Abernant Stakes 6f – 14.25
Looking to go back to back with victories in the race is Keystroke trained by Stuart Williams and Jockey Adam Kirby. He was a shock winner here 12 months ago, winning at 66/1. He is 3lbs lighter this time around (9st 4lbs). His best effort since this win 12 months ago was 3rd at Ascot in October. But looking to make it 3 out of 4 here is BRANDO, he was a close 3rd here last year and is looking good as ever, the 8-year-old with Tom Eaves on board is the current market favourite and was showing that he can challenge in bigger races when 4 of 17 in the group 1 Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes. Keystroke finished 10th that day.
So I am tipping BRANDO to reclaim his crown.
Betway Paradise Stakes 1m – 15.00
With the favourite now a non-runner, ESCOBAR could be the pick – a winner at this distance. He has won 5 races from 7f to 1m on good to firm and heavy ground. He was a winner last time out at Ascot when winning at the odds 16-1 beating Lord North by 2 1/4L in October. He ended last season on top form. He is a patient runner, but can’t leave it late today to get going against this field.
Hurworth Bloodstock Coronation Cup 1m 4f – 15.35
Here we have the race of the day and current favourite is Ghaiyyath trained by Charlie Appleby who will be looking to start the weekend off with a win. The 5-year-old took an incredible win when last seen at Dubai beating Spotify by 9L. He has placed in his 3 runs in Britain and is 2 from 2 here on this track so he is a big player for this race.
Looking to follow up on last year’s win is Defoe. He has 9 wins from 1m to 1m 5f and has solid form around here. So he will certainly be one to watch out for.
But I am going with STRADIVARIUS. He has won 14 races from 1m to 2m 4f and with him dropping down in trip for the first time since he was a 3-year-old he could be suited by this. He narrowly missed out when last seen in October when beaten by the nose of Kew Garden at Ascot. But the combination of Gosden and Dettori, STRADIVARUIS will be involved and in my eyes the one to beat tomorrow.
Heed your Hunch at Betway Handicap 1m 4f- 16.10
Current market favourite is Look Closely, trained by Roger Varian and jockey Andrea Atzeni. He was a winner last seen at Leicester when beating Great Esteem by 6L. With a current mark of 90 he does look like he should be higher than that. So expect him to be involved in the run in.
Also keep tabs on Dubai Instinct who has Ryan Moore on board. A win twice over 1m 2f was last seen at Sandown beating Simoon. He upped his game with that performance and is a leader player. But I am tipping EDINBURGH CASTLE trained by A M Balding who has had an excellent week so far since the return of racing. He has improved on each of his runs and with time off Gelding and increase in trip, I think he will have something to offer here.
Betway EBF Stallions Fillies’ Novice Stakes 1m 4f – 16.45
The favourite in the latest Newmarket betting odds is DELTA’S ROYALTY, trained by R Varian with Andrea Atzeni booked to ride. She is 1 from 1 beating Samillie by 3/4L at Kempton. She is open to improvement and the jump up in distance shouldnt make that much of a difference. The only thing is she is carrying a little more weight than her rivals but that is expected as many are making their debuts tomorrow.
So I am picking DELTA’S ROYALTY to win. Her biggest contender tomorrow I think will be Renaissance Queen and Jane Marple both making their debuts and both have strong family connections.
Betway EBF Stallions Maiden Fillies’ Stakes 7f – 17.20
Current favourite is Ricetta currently 6/5 with Sky Bet, half-sister to 3 winners including 2-year-old winner Blending who won over 7f and 8.6f winner Panmolle. They will be one to watch out for tomorrow. So will be Zoohoor, the William J Haggas trained 3- year- old who has strong family connections as she is a half-sister to Leshaaa and her dam is closely related to Silkwood. On paper, Zoohoor has a strong claim.
But I am going with the experience again and I am going to tip COTO DONANA. She was 4th of her debut at Lingfield, she left it too late in the race to mount a serious challenge but did finish well and with that experience of having a run under her belt will help here and with her price currently 12/1 with William Hill. She holds a solid E/W claim.

I am picking DEEP INTRIGUE trained by Mark Johnston with Donald Turhope on board. Johnson has had a good week with winners and I feel he may continue with DEEP INTRIGUE. He has placed in 7 out of 14 runs and has won 4 times from 5f to 6f. He was unlucky not to win when last seen beaten by a short head by Qutob here last July. He was carrying the same weight that day and I think we will see him involved in the run-in.

Currently top of the betting for the last race is Highland Dress who won last time out at Southwell over 6f beaten Spilt Down South by 11/2L. He is back on the AW and will be one to keep an eye on. But I am going for an E/W pick here and I am picking CITRON MAJOR trained by N Tinkler and ridden by Rowan Scott. He has won 5 races from 6f to 7f on good to firm ground and on the AW. He was 6 of 9 last time out at Ripon over 6f and since then has had a wind operation and is lower than last winning mark. With his current price 11/1 with Sky bet I feel he had a good E/W claim.
