Royal Ascot is upon us and we’ve picked out our four horses for a Royal Ascot 2019 lucky 15 betting tip. The races take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
The odds for the 4-fold accumulator are 140/1 with Paddy Power, but we are offering today’s Royal Ascot tips in the form of a lucky 15.
A £1 lucky 15 on these four selections wins £405 if all four win.
The big showdown on day 1 of Royal Ascot 2019 is in the 5f King’s Stand Stakes where last year’s winner Blue Point goes head to head with superstar Battaash. Both have been in good form since last year’s race and Battaash was eye catching when blowing the Haydock field away a few weeks ago, with the likes of Mabs Cross and Kachy in behind. If he takes the prelims well, we’re expecting a scintillating display from Battaash in this intriguing contest.
The race of the week is Wednesday’s Price of Wales’ Stakes and Magical is now the market leader with most firms ahead of Arc runner up Sea of Class. The Ballydoyle in-mate looks to have improved drastically from 3 to 4 and has done everything right so far this season. Crystal Ocean is set to oppose here rather than go to the Hardwicke and with this being Sea of Class’s first appearance of the season, she might just need the run, so the selection is Magical.
One of Aidan O’Brian’s best chances of the week at Royal Ascot looks to be Ten Sovereigns in Friday’s 7f Commonwealth Cup. In a recent stable tour he said this: “The plan is to run him in the Commonwealth Cup. Everything has been well with him since the 2000 Guineas. There was always a possibility that a mile was going to be too far for him and I thought he ran a massive race there. We always had this race in mind for him if he didn’t stay a mile and we think he is well equipped for it. He’s one we are very much looking forward to.” Things seem positive out of Ballydoyle and he could be the Royal Ascot NAP of the week for some.
This Wesley Ward speed ball is expected to be his best chance of the week at Royal Ascot and the exciting filly looks set to start favourite for the 6f Albany Stakes. She has already blitzed the field in a 4 ½ furlong sprint at Keenland and if she can overcome her inexperience this 2 year old should take all the beating on Friday. Her sire, Carpe Diem, was a Grade 1 winner over an extended mile so stamina shouldn’t be an issue as she steps up to 6f.
