Sandown Betting Tips for Saturday – Five Tips for Today’s Card

Sandown racing tips

Sandown is home to some of the action on Saturday with some of the selections running live on the ITV coverage.

Let’s hope we can have some more winners after two winners and an 8/1 place on my Kempton betting tips yesterday. Once again, we’d always advise trying to use a free bet to bet on our racing tips and if you bet £10 with a new Coral account on a race today, you will get 3 free £10 bets added to your account.

12.55 Sandown

The opener at Sandown is a a 5f sprint race that appears to between two horses Bungledupinblue and Happy Romance. Bookmakers can’t split them with them both priced up at 5/4.

They both ran in the same race first time out with Bungledupinblue coming 3rd and Happy Romance 6th. I feel as though HAPPY ROMANCE 5/4 will certainly improve more for the benefit of a run and the Hannon horses are starting to run better while George Scott is still looking for his first win since racing resumed. Happy Romance looks good to me.

2.05 Sandown

The 2.05 race is a Class 2 handicap over the 7f distance and it appears a wide-open betting market.

The horse I like is IMPRESSOR 5/1. Marcus Tregoning teams up with Martin Dwyer here and IMPRESSOR showed useful form as a 2-year-old. Impressor ran 2000 Guineas runner Kenzai Warrior close on his final start and I can see him proving better than this handicap mark. Impressor has also undergone wind surgery which I see as a positive.

2.40 Sandown

The 2.40 race is a Listed contest over 5f. The horse I like is SUNDAY SOVEREIGN 11/4 NAP. He is easily the most unexposed sort in this race and I think he will prove better than the rest of these here before going on to run in better races later in the season. Recently moved to the powerful stable of Roger Varian from Ireland and I’m expecting a winning start here.

3.15 Sandown

The 3.15 race is a Class 2 handicap over the 1m distance and it’s another race you could consider the Infernobet welcome bonus for. The Sir Michael Stoute trained Solid Stone leads the market at 15/8 but I’m happy to look elsewhere as I feel this horse would be suited by farther.

To be fair this isn’t the greatest of races and I think EXEC CHIEF 5/1 NB is worth a punt. Ran well last weekend at Newmarket on his comeback run finishing 4th and he appears to be off a fair mark here. If he can show improvement from that first run with Jason Watson up, 5/1 seems a very fair bet to me.

3.45 Sandown

My final selection on the card comes in the 3.45 race for the maidens over 1m1f. The current market leader is the Hannon trained Mambo Nights who sets a decent standard on his form as a 3-year-old last season despite not getting his head in front.

I’m happy to take a chance on one of the newcomers and the one for me is UNTOLD STORY 9/2 for the Bin Suroor team. Bin Suroor can ready a newcomer for victory and has started the season well. The horse has a strong pedigree and this distance should be fine for him. Our Royal Ascot 2020 betting tips will be with you throughout next week, starting on Tuesday’s card.
