12:45 Yarmouth

My first selection comes in the opener at Yarmouth and that a 1m3f maiden handicap. There is a lot of interesting runners that are bound to improve now stepping into handicap company.

The one I like is SWIFT VERDICT. Swift Verdict represents John Gosden who has been banging in the winners at Yarmouth of late with 7 winners from 16 runners. Swift Verdict has made an average start to his career with two fourths, he went off odds on last time which suggests better was expected. Gosden now pots for first time blinkers and I’m expecting him to improve here and take a lot of beating.

1.20 Yarmouth

The next selection comes in the 1:20 from Yarmouth and that is a 1m2f handicap.

I think ALPINE MISTRAL NB will take a lot of beating here. He was very impressive last time out winning easily in a similar contest. The ground will be in his favour again here and he can follow up under a penalty. Trainer Shaun Keightley has a 43%-win rate with his last seven runners so he’s flying at the moment.

3:50 Yarmouth

The 3:50 race is a Class 6 handicap contest over 6f where Prince Casper heads the market.

I am going to chance one of the outsiders here and the one for me is CRAIGBURN. Tom Clover is a trainer on the rise and his horse continue to run well. CRAIGBURN is an inconsistent horse but he is more than capable of winning a race of this nature on a going day. He ran a great race finishing second here at Yarmouth 2 starts back and after a poor run last times he’s an attractive price here. Mitchell takes the ride and he’s a jockey riding better than ever at the moment. Hopefully he can get the best of it Craigburn here as he came third on the selection the only previous time he sat on him.

4.20 Yarmouth

The 4:20 race here is a 7f maiden handicap and there are a few intriguing runners in the line-up.

The one I like is QUEENS COURSE. Queens Course has an attractive opening mark here after showing promise on his three career starts to date. The David O’Meara team can do little wrong of late and this 3-year-old looks certain to run his race. The ground won’t be an issue and the price seems more than fair to me.

4:50 Yarmouth

The finale at Yarmouth is a Class 5 handicap over the 1m distance.

The favourite will certainly prove very tough to beat here and that is FOLK DANCE NAP. Folk Dance went straight in the notebook last time out finishing 7th but getting no luck in running in what appears to be a hot little race. The second Indie Angel won a decent handicap at Newmarket last time. Simcocks horses are starting to run a lot better over the last few weeks and anything above evens is a fantastic bet here. Spencer can get a winner.
