Football accumulator tips for this weekend’s Saturday afternoon matches including the reasons for each pick and which bookmaker to use on our accumulator bet.
Sheffield United will hope to continue their recent good form on home turf when hosting poor travellers Wigan and this clash features in the Saturday Accumulator alongside two games from League One. A match from the National League is also covered with Leyton Orient hopeful of a return to winning ways while struggling Falkirk’s Scottish Championship game at Queen of the South is also selected. See our best accumulator tips for Saturday 27th October below.
Sheffield United to beat Wigan
Luton to beat AFC Wimbledon
Barnsley to beat Bristol Rovers
Leyton Orient to beat Havant & Waterlooville
Queen of the South to beat Falkirk
Since suffering a 2-1 defeat by Swansea on the opening day of the current campaign, Sheffield United are unbeaten at Bramall Lane and have won four subsequent Championship games at the venue. The Blades have also lost just once in their last seven league matches and now host a Wigan team which has lost five successive games on the road with only one goal scored in those games. Wigan are a strong team on home soil but struggle on their travels, and they appear set for another defeat in our weekend football tips.
It has been a very poor October to date for AFC Wimbledon in their League One campaign with all five matches lost and just one goal netted. The Dons have also won just one league game on home soil all season when narrowly beating a struggling Oxford team last month and they face a Luton outfit beaten just once in their last eight league outings when suffering a 3-2 defeat at promotion-seeking Barnsley. Thirteen goals have been scored by the Hatters in five league games this month and despite a fairly mediocre sequence of form on their recent travels, they could clinch an away victory.
Two consecutive away defeats have dented the promotion aspirations of Barnsley but they remain unbeaten in League One football at Oakwell this season where they have failed to find the net in just one game. Visitors Bristol Rovers beat struggling AFC Wimbledon 2-0 on home turf during Tuesday evening, but that game ended a five-match sequence in which they had failed to score a league goal. Rovers do not concede many goals and very late winners have cost them some recent points, but they may not be able to contain a Barnsley attack which can be prolific at times. A home win is forecasted.
After staying unbeaten during their opening thirteen games of the current National League season, Leyton Orient have won just one of four subsequent competitive matches culminating in a 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Maidstone last weekend. Yet Orient now host a Havant & Waterlooville team beaten 1-0 by the Metropolitan Police in the same competition and which was a fourth competitive defeat via the same scoreline. The visitors have won just once on their travels this term when netting two added time goals to seal a 4-3 victory at Braintree but they are still searching for an away clean sheet. Orient are likely winners for our weekend football predictions.
Despite claiming a win at struggling Alloa at the end of September, the woes of Falkirk have continued since that victory. The Bairns have subsequently been beaten twice without scoring a goal although they were handicapped at Morton last weekend following the 49th minute dismissal of a player with the scores level. Falkirk have lost all of their Scottish Championship games apart from that Alloa success and they now travel to Dumfries where hosts Queen of the South have lost just one league match on home soil this season. Second-placed Ayr were beaten 5-0 at Palmerston Park last month and the Queens could follow their 1-0 victory at Dunfermline last weekend by winning this contest.
