The Best Bets for Sunday’s Premier League Football

Bet on Liverpool - Gerrard.jpg

Never has the term 'Super Sunday' been stretched as far as it was last week when Reading 'entertained' QPR in a game that was not only  a bad advert for the Premier League, but also a bad advert for the Championship next year as well!

Thankfully the balance is somewhat restored this weekend with both the Merseyside Derby and Man Utd hosting Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool vs Everton

Two Key promos – Ladbrokes will refund the usual markets if Sturridge scores first OR last, and they will also offer refunds on in play markets if there's a red card – this fixture has seen more red cards than any other.

Every Merseyside derby is a must win for both teams, but If Liverpool have any designs on finishing above Everton this season, they will have to win here. Liverpool are formidable at home – they've only lost one of their last nine at Anfield, and Everton conversely are pretty weak away from Goodison, without a win in six in their travels. If Liverpool had Suarez i'd back them to win this game, but i think  that shorn of his guile they will struggle – the 6-0 against a dire Newcastle side was impressive, but Newcastle were abject, and Liverpool will find Everton's miserly defence much tougher to break down.

Recommended bets:

Both Teams to Score @ 4/6 (Bet365)

Match Drawn @ 13/5 (Stan James)

Man Utd vs Chelsea

Key promo – Ladbrokes will refund the usual markets if Van Persie scores first OR last.

United may have won the league at a canter, but Chelsea are going to have to go great guns to qualify for the Champions League – you feel that the next two games against Man Utd & Spurs will decide whether this season is a failure or not – Winning the Europa league will mean little if they are back there again next year. Benitez may have just won the Manager of the Month award, and Chelsea may have won four of their last five in all competitions, but travelling to Old Trafford, where United have won 15 of their 17 games, is a fairly thankless task. One thing this game does guarantee though is goals – both teams have scored in seven of their last eight, and five of the last six have gone over 3.5 goals.

Recommended bets:

Both Teams to score @ 4/6 (William Hill)

United win @ 5/4 (Bet Victor)

Recommended Sunday Double: Both teams to score in both games @ 9/5 (William Hill)
