Manchester City vs Cardiff City Betting Tips and Predictions: Premier League

Man City betting tips

Manchester City vs Cardiff predictions and betting tips for the Premier League fixture on Wednesday 3rd April 2019. Both these sides are fighting at the opposite ends of the table, with City looking to return to the summit of the league whilst Cardiff are looking to cut the five point gap that sits between them and safety.

Cardiff are already relegated from the Premier League and face a daunting task this week.

One bookmaker are offering odds of 55/1 for an away win!

Man City are still challenging on all front and will have one eye on Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final with Brighton.

Manchester City vs Cardiff Preview and Betting Odds

This will be the second game against a bottom three side in the space of five days for Manchester City. It is going to be a very busy month for the Citizens as they look to chase down current league leaders Liverpool whilst playing knockout games in both the Champions League and the FA Cup.

With no disrespect to Cardiff, this will most likely be a game in which City decide to rest a few players with the fixture congestion on the horizon. Despite this, we’re predicting an easy Man City victory for our betting tips and Paddy Power offer a generous 8/11 for City to win without conceding.

Cardiff come into this game on the back of a very disappointing defeat to a below-par Chelsea side in a game in which they were leading with six minutes to go. That led Neil Warnock to claim Mike Riley should stop down from the referees association.

They rightfully feel very hard done as they were on the end of a poor decision, in which the officials missed César Azpilicueta scoring from a clear and obvious offside position. Something that Manager Neil Warnock was rightly furious about.

Manchester City vs Cardiff Betting Tips

It has become a bit of a game trying to guess what players Pep Guardiola will choose in his starting XI in the Premier League. But especially so when they have many fixtures in a short amount of time. One thing we can be pretty sure of is that Sergio Aguero will not start of Wednesday after being taken off with what looked like a slight knock in their 2-0 win against Fulham on Saturday.

This will probably mean Gabriel Jesus will get the nod to start on Wednesday. He is very capable of doing the job in Aguero’s absence. It is well known that Raheem Sterling has been in fine form for club and country in recent times. The 24 year old will fancy his chances again against Cardiff.

The Bluebirds have only scored 28 goals all season; only Huddersfield have scored less. Despite this, Víctor Camarasa has scored in his last two games. Cardiff will be looking at him for the goals.

Due to his fine form at the moment, my prediction is for Raheem Sterling to score first. You can get this at 4/1 with bet365.

Manchester City vs Cardiff Correct Score Prediction – Man City win 3-0 @ 6/1

Playing Manchester City at the Etihad is never easy. Especially when they are in the form that they are in right now. You can never write Cardiff off for this one, but as the return fixture earlier this season finished 5-0 to Manchester City it is even more difficult to believe they can get something from this game.

Therefore I am predicting a 3-0 win for Manchester City. It could easily be more but as they have many fixtures coming up, it’s hard to see them going at top speed on Wednesday.

You can get a 3-0 result for the Citizens at 6/1 and that looks a good bet.
