St Johnstone v Celtic – Celtic to win BTTS

Our opening match comes in the Scottish Premiership as league leaders Celtic travel to St Johnstone. The hosts are in excellent form at present and are currently unbeaten in their last six straight matches. St Johnstone also have an unbelievable record for BTTS results with 94% of all their games this season finishing via that outcome. You'll be hard pushed to find a better ratio in world football, let alone Europe. Rather predictably, opponents Celtic are top of the table with an extra game in hand on their rivals. Our second selection comes from the Eredivisie as Groningen entertain Feyenoord. The hosts are in decent form at present and are certainly punching above their weight in fifth position. From a BTTS perspective, though, they have seen an encouraging three out of their last four matches finish with both teams getting into the scoresheet. Their opposition comes in the form of high-flying Feyenoord who are currently sat in second place. However, the visitors have been particularly prolific of late scoring twelve goals in their last three matches. Furthermore, Feyenoord have also seen BTTS outcomes in four of their last six wins in the league. Chalk this one down as the second tick on the football coupon.

 

Napoli v Roma – Napoli to win BTTS

Our final choice comes from Italy as Napoli host Roma in Serie A. The hosts head into the match off the back of a disappointing loss away to Bologna, but remain imperious opposition on their own patch. Napoli have won six and drawn one of their seven matches at home this season in a run than has included victories over the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina. Their opponents Roma head into the match in patchy form, but did manage to scrape through to the Champions League knockout stages this week, albeit with a meagre six points and the worst defence in the entire competition. From a BTTS perspective, though, Roma have the best record in the entire division at 73%, so I expect them them to at least get onto the scoresheet. Considering, Napoli's outstanding home record, though, I can see them coming out on top.
