Reasons for this Tuesday’s Football Betting Tips

Midweek EFL Cup action features in this Tuesday Accumulator with Leeds hoping to follow their emphatic weekend win at Stoke with another victory when hosting the Potters. Norwich, Rochdale and Sheffield United are also selected as they seek to overcome lower league opposition while Preston will be aiming to extend their recent impressive home form when facing Hull.

Leeds vs Stoke Betting Tip – Leeds win.

The fortunes of both teams could not be more contrasting during the initial weeks of the current campaign with Leeds leading the Championship table and Stoke bottom of the league. Their clash on Saturday afternoon at the bet365 Stadium underlined the current confidence in the Leeds camp and the hesitancy within the home ranks. A loss of 3-0 for the Potters could have been much greater such was the superiority of the visitors, and it is difficult to envisage anything other than a home win for Leeds in this EFL Cup tie.

Crawley vs Norwich Betting Tip – Norwich win.

For the first few weeks of their League Two campaign, Crawley could be described as an inconsistent team with a mixture of very good performance and some below-par efforts. The Reds have won as many games as they have suffered defeats in league action with one game drawn and while they have netted in every game to date, they have conceded twice in all but one competitive match. Those defensive lapses could be exploited by a Norwich outfit capable of scoring against Premier League defences with five netted in their last two games. A weakened team may be fielded by the Canaries for this EFL Cup tie but they should still win.

Preston vs Hull Betting Tip – Preston win.

With just one victory earned from their first five Championship fixtures, it would be fair to state that it has not been the best of starts for Hull with three games already lost. The Tigers now face this EFL Cup clash at Preston and the hosts have won all three home matches to date scoring at least twice per game. At least two goals have also been netted by the Lilywhites in their five latest competitive games and they could simply score more times than their visitors.

Rochdale vs Carlisle Betting Tip – Rochdale win.

Although they have suffered just one competitive defeat this season when unlucky 2-1 losers hosting Sunderland, Rochdale have won just two other games one of which was the 5-2 success against troubled Bolton in EFL Cup action. For the next game in that competition, the Dale host a Carlisle team struggling for consistency this term. A 3-0 win at Barnsley was a decent effort in the previous round but the Cumbrians have failed to register a clean sheet in league action and face a difficult evening against a team which denied Blackpool on Saturday.

Sheffield United vs Blackburn Betting Tip – Sheffield United win.

Despite suffering a 2-1 home defeat by Leicester on Saturday and being applauded by their home fans, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder was critical of his players and will be expecting more attacking potency in this EFL Cup tie. The Blades had still earned four points from their two prior Premier League matches and now host a Blackburn outfit recovering from a shaky start to the campaign. Rovers have registered three consecutive clean sheets but United arguably possess more forward strength, with a home win predicted.
