Midweek EFL Football Betting Tips – Three Best Bets for Wednesday 10th April
Midweek EFL tips for Wednesday evening’s crucial fixture list. We’ve picked out three selections from the Championship, and we’ve included the reasons for each pick and a £40 sign-up bonus to spend on the action.
Millwall vs QPR Betting Tip – Millwall to Win
Millwall got back to winning ways at the weekend, easily seeing off West Brom at the Den. The Lions have put their FA disappointment firmly behind them, and they can now concentrate solely on survival.
Although they’ve only won one of their last five home matches, they’ve kept three clean sheets during that run, with only Norwich and Preston finding a way through.
This looks to be the ideal fixture for Neil Harris’ men with out-of-form QPR making the short hop across the capital. The R’s are dreadfully short on confidence, and at the time of writing, their search for a new manager continues.
Away from home, they’ve conceded 13 times in their last five matches, and they’ve picked up just a single point from a possible 15.
The West Londoners lost their last visit to this stadium with a narrow 1-0 defeat, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a similar outcome here.
The first of our EFL betting tips with the BetBull free bet offer is Millwall to beat QPR at the Den.
Rotherham vs Aston Villa Betting Tip – Over 2.5 Goals
Rotherham’s survival will hinge on their home form, but the Millers face a tough task against an in-form Villa outfit. Paul Warne’s side saw off Nottingham Forest at the weekend, but their joy was short-lived when they discovered that Millwall had also picked up three points.
The Millers have Will Vaulks back in the side, and he keeps them ticking. He’s been excellent this season, and he will be up against the hugely talented Jack Grealish on Wednesday night.
Only Bristol City and West Brom have stopped the hosts from scoring at the New York Stadium this season, and although Villa have improved at the back since the arrival of Tyrone Mings, they may find it difficult to keep them off the score-sheet.
At the other end of the pitch, Villa are in terrific goalscoring form, and they should be able to find a way past the Millers’ back-line. October 3rd was the last time that the South Yorkshire side kept a home clean sheet, and this should be an entertaining spectacle.
Eight of the last nine Rotherham home games have featured three or more goals, whilst it has also paid out in five of Villa’s last six Championship matches. Over 2.5 Goals is the second of our Championship betting tips.
Hull vs Wigan Betting Tip – Hull Over 1.5 Team Goals
Hull’s play-off bid looks to be in vain unfortunately, but the Tigers can hold their heads up high after a fantastic season at the Kcom. Their home form has been exceptionally strong, but their results on the road have prevented them from challenging for a top six spot.
They got back to winning ways with a convincing 3-1 victory over, and they continued their extraordinary record of scoring goals at home. They’ve netted at least two goals in each of their last ten matches in Humberside, and they should be able to continue that trend here.
Wigan picked up a big point at Bristol City, but they still conceded twice to the Robins. Wigan also drew 2-2 with Swansea earlier in the campaign, so even when they draw on the road, they rarely keep a clean sheet.
This would have landed in five of Wigan’s last six away games, and since September 29th, only four sides have failed to notch more than a single goal when hosting the Latics.
The stats are heavily in favour of Hull to grab a couple of goals here, and it’s a decent price of 11/10.
