Everton vs. Manchester City – Saturday 16.3.13 – 12.45pm – 4/5

Off the back of a dreadful tie against Wigan last week, Everton will look to prove themselves against Man City this weekend, however the blue side from Manchester will look to put the blue sword from Liverpool to the sword and continue their woes. City have dropped points in 3 of their last road trips in the league, however they face a tired and demoralised Everton side who they will be able to pick holes in. As well as this Everton have shown they can score without playing well at Goodison, finding the net 11 times in their last 6 despite only winning 3 of those ties. The tenancy of both these sides’ full backs to go forward at will should also mean there are plenty of opportunities for crosses to be delivered and chances to materialise in both boxes.

Barnsley vs. Watford – Saturday 16.3.13 – 3pm – 4/6

Barnsley are marching up the table and away from the relegation and will look to take their home momentum and stop a Watford side who are scoring for fun on the road and halt them in their tracks.  Despite their humbling at the hands of Man City last weekend, Barnsley are on good form in the league especially at home where they have won 5 of their last 6. Watford have continued their goalscoring form away from home at late, averaging 2 goals per game away from home in their last 6 and will look to continue their fine run of away form. However a gruelling Tuesday night tie will have left the Barnsley defence tired, which will be giving a head start to the side that has scored the most goals in league football this season. But Barnsley have proven they can score at home and should be able to put one past Watford here.

Manchester United vs. Reading – Saturday 16.3.13 – 5.45pm – 3/10

Fergie may have declared his side tired but they should have no problem scoring against Reading in the evening kick off this Saturday. United are averaging 3 goals per home game at the moment, and as the heavy odds suggest this average could easily be met when Reading travel up to Manchester. With it looking like no manager will be in place at Reading before this weekend we can expect the team to continue in a similar style and unfortunately for Royals fans this season their style has been shipping goals, with them averaging a concession of just under 2 goals a game across the whole season so far.
