Crystal Palace vs. Bolton – Saturday 19th January 2013 – 3pm – 4/6

Anyone who usually follows my tips on the over 2.5 goal market will know that I have a tendency for siding with Crystal Palace at home to do a job and get us some goals. They will also know that the London boys don’t often let us down. They’re home form isn’t as scintillating as it once was this season, and they’ve let up somewhat in the race for the automatic spots, but Palace still provide us with goals at Selhurst, be they scoring or conceding them. They put 12 past their last 6 visitors but conceded 10 to the same 6, and whilst this may not be comforting news for Eagles fans, but it is for us when we’re looking for goals. Visitors Bolton almost have the exact same goal scoring statistics on the road in their last 6, scoring only 1 less and conceding the same number as the hosts, meaning we should be provided with plenty of goals this Saturday.

Celtic vs. Hearts – Saturday 19th January 2013 – 3pm – 4/7

As Scottish football resumes after its winter break, expect Celtic to hit the ground running as they look to get themselves into the correct mindset to face Juventus in the Champions League next month. Celtic will be looking to kill off games early between now and their European ties and a flurry of early goals will kill off any hopes a Hearts side who have been abysmal on the road will have of getting anything out of the game, and once their heads drop expect a Celtic forward line that is well above the league’s defences to do some damage.

Blackburn vs. Charlton – Saturday 19th January 2013 – 3pm – 8/11

With their hosts on the same number of points as Charlton with a game in hand, expect the visitors to give it a go against a Blackburn side that have managed to pick up a win in 3 of their last 6 games. Charlton will need to bring a good game to Ewood to avoid a being left on the wrong side of the split as the Championship table finally begins to spread out. 7 goals scored and conceded and 10 points won on their last 6 road trips means Charlton will be heading to Blackburn with enough confidence to threaten a defence which has leaked 9 in their last 6 at home. Both of these sides are capable of scoring and with the table in the position it is expect 1 of the 2 to push for a winner and get it.
