Accumulator Betting Tips for Sunday 11th November
After a midweek goal-fest in the UEFA Champions League, attention returns to the domestic scene with plenty of games to plan your weekend punting around.
Of the three Premier League games on Sunday, only Chelsea appear to be a well valued bet, but to my misfortune, I have learnt never to rely on any game involving Liverpool to get your accumulator off the ground.
Instead I have scrawled through the European fixtures for our Super Sunday Accumulator, and have made 4 picks that returns combined odds over 9/2 with Betway.
Super Sunday Accumulator:
Our first selection takes us to Easter Road where Hibernian host Dundee Utd in the early kick-off.
Pat Fenlon has managed to really turn around the fortunes of the Edinburgh side, and they have realistic hopes of European football next season with the Rangers situation leaving Celtic in a realistic one-horse race.
Sitting 2nd in the SPL table and playing some nice football to boot, Hibs have found the net 21 times in 12 games and are unbeaten at home.
After a slow start to the season, Dundee Utd have found some decent form lately, but aren’t as potent in front of goal as Hibernian, and will struggle to keep the home side scoreless.
The 8/5 on offer seems extremely generous for the home side and could be a great start to our all-day accumulator.
If you’d prefer to play it safer, you can avail of the +1 handicap on Hibs @ 2/5, but I am confidently sticking my neck out that the home side can do the business.
Recommendation: Hibernian to beat Dundee Utd @ 8/5
Next up, we’re going all Dutch for the 3.30pm game in Eindhoven.
PSV go into this game in scintillating form and should not encounter many problems when Heerenveen make the trip to the Philips Stadion.
The league leaders have won 9 of their last 10 games and boast a 100% home record. Dick Advocaat’s side have scored 24 goals in 6 matches on their own turf, and only conceded 3.
Heerenveen on the other hand are languishing in 12th spot in the Eredivisie table, and have failed to manage an away win this season. They sit a huge 17 points behind this weekend’s opponents, and simply do not have enough class to compete with the league leaders.
PSV have been free-scoring at home this year, and you could take a chance on the handicap –1 goal @ 4/6 available with StanJames and Ladbrokes, but for our accumulator this weekend we’re sticking with:
Recommendation: PSV to beat Heerenveen @ 3/10
On our first visit to La Liga, we’re putting our faith in the machine that is Barcelona, who make the trip to Mallorca on Sunday evening. Tito Vilanova will not have been happy with his team’s performance in Celtic Park on Wednesday night, and will demand a major improvement from his players when they return to league action, and I strongly believe they will take their frustration out on a poor Mallorca side.
What is there that hasn’t been said about this team? 28 points from a possible 30 so far, averaging over 3 goals per game, and the trend doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.
Mallorca have lost their last 4 on the bounce and the last thing they need is a visit from the Catalan Giants. At general odds of 1/4, I can’t see anything other than a comfortable win for Messi & Co.
Recommendation: Barcelona to beat Mallorca @ 1/4
The final leg of our journey takes us to the Estadio Vicente Calderon where I’ll be cheering on Athletico Madrid to dispose of Getafe in the 6.45pm kick-off.
Athletico sit 2nd in La Liga, only 3points behind Barcelona, and 5 clear of their city rivals Real.
Athletico were beaten last week for the first time this season by a strong Valencia side, but have enough firepower in their arsenal to account for a Getafe side who ship quite a few goals.
Athletico are 5 from 5 at home, and their goal machine Falcao has netted 5 in his last 7 games.
Getafe have had an indifferent start to the season, and were most recently beaten 4-2 at home by Real Betis.
I feel Diego Simeone’s team have more than enough to see off the visitors, and hopefully finish off the weekend in style, and banish those Monday blues!
Recommendation: Athletico Madrid to beat Getafe @ 4/11
