Anytime Goalscorer Tips this Weekend

Lukas Jutkiewicz – Birmingham (v Nottingham Forest)

Birmingham are looking for their first victory under new manager Gianfranco Zola and this provides a tremendous opportunity to get off the mark under the Italian. They have been scoring goals, but have failed to keep sides out. Jutkiewicz has netted each of Birmingham’s last three goals including the equaliser against Newcastle in the FA Cup on Saturday. He’s also scored each of Birmingham’s last three goals at St Andrews and will be keen to make it four in a row. He is prolific at this level and is also the clubs penalty taker currently. Forest struggle to keep sides out and have conceded at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 12 away games and that should play into the striker’s hands. He is terrific in the air and Forest struggle from set-pieces. Zola will be hoping for three points here and Jutkiewicz is bound to have a hand in it.

Josh Magennis – Charlton (v Millwall)

The former Kilmarnock man hit a hat-trick last week against Bristol Rovers and we’re backing him to follow it up with another goal this weekend. Millwall haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home this season and they could struggle against improving Charlton. Magennis hit 13 goals for Kilmarnock last season and has 8 to his name so far. He’s taken a while to adapt to English football, but with Ademola Lookman transferred to Everton, he should get plenty of opportunities to make his mark from now on. Six of his eight goals this season have arrived the Valley and he could add to that total on Saturday afternoon. The powerful frontman will be full of confidence and with Karl Robinson’s side playing some attractive football, it should create plenty of chances for him.

James Collins – Crawley (v Hartlepool)

James Collins has been scoring at home for Crawley recently and is looking to make it 5 consecutive strikes at the Broadfield Stadium. He’s netted 13 goals this season and with Crawley in decent form at home, he is likely to find the net again. Hartlepool don’t keep many clean sheets away from home with just two since August. Dermot Drummy’s side have been creating chances here and the fans have been entertained in recent weeks and will be hoping for another three points against struggling Hartlepool. Collins is prolific at this level and netted the equaliser against Craig Hignett’s side earlier in the season.
