Both Teams to Score and Win Tips for 3rd September at 55/1
This Saturday’s football tip from the both teams to score and win coupon takes three selections from League One and starts with the early kick-off at 12.15pm.
We’re barely a month into the 2016/17 season and the International Break has already reared its ugly head and thrown a spanner into this weekend’s betting schedule. Nevertheless, there’s still a full set of fixtures in the lower leagues and more than enough games to fill our weekly score and win treble. This Saturday’s BTTS win tip is an early starter at midday, before finishing with two 3pm kick offs. The straight accumulator comes in at a huge price of 55/1 with William Hill, however, those after a safer bet can expect odds of 12/1 for the double with the shortest odds in a Trixie.
BTTS and Win Tips 3rd September
Peterborough v Swindon – Peterborough to win BTTS
Our opening selection is the lunchtime kick-off in League One between Peterborough and Swindon. The Posh have had a mixed start to their campaign with three wins and two defeats. However, two of those victories did come against relegated sides from the Championship last year, the first of which being a 5-1 thrashing of one of the promotion favourites Millwall three weeks ago. Opponents Swindon have also started the season in similar fashion, but have only taken one point from their two away games to date. Although both of these matches have seen both teams scoring, The Robins have now gone their last eight league games in a row without a win on the road. Peterborough have been a safe pair of hands in the BTTS market for the last few years now and both of the matches between the two sides last year finished with a BTTS result. Based on home advantage, I can see Peterborough winning this one via that outcome.
Bolton v Southend – Bolton to win BTTS
Our second choice takes us to the Macron Stadium as early pacesetters Bolton take on Southend at 3pm. Many will have expected Wanderers to struggle after such a dismal campaign in the Championship last year, but Phil Parkinson’s side have started in terrific fashion with 13 points from their opening five games and currently hold a two-point lead at the top of the table. In addition to this, Bolton’s last three wins in a row have been by a BTTS outcome and they also finished last season with 13 BTTS results in their last 19 games. If you take their shock 3-0 win at Bramall Lane out of the equation, opponents Southend have had a difficult start to the season and look as if they could be in for a struggle this year. Phil Brown’s men can be half-decent on their day but still find themselves second favourites for relegation at present and will surely be in for a tough afternoon against an in-form Bolton side. With this in mind, back Wanderers to win with both teams finding the net.
Oxford v Rochdale – Oxford to win BTTS
The anchor leg this Saturday is from League One once again as Oxford take on Rochdale at The Kassam. The hosts have found life tough following promotion last season, but have recorded four BTTS results in their five matches to date and currently remain unbeaten on home soil so far this campaign. Their opposition comes in the form of Rochdale, and the visitors head into this Saturday’s clash winless and second bottom of the table. Nevertheless, three of those five games ended with both teams making the scoresheet and The Dale also finished the 2015/16 season with 8 BTTS results in their last 10 matches. I certainly think they’ll be goals in this one, but I’m backing United to come out on top to finish off the BTTS win home treble.
