Bournemouth predictions

Bournemouth vs Brighton betting tips and predictions for their Premier League match on Friday 15th September at 8pm. Read todays betting preview for the match below.

Friday night football returns as Bournemouth host Brighton at the Vitality Stadium. Eddie Howes side have had an horrendous start to this seasons campaign, after finishing a very impressive ninth last season. They are yet to pick up a single point after four games, so will be desperate to get off the mark as soon as possible. Brighton will come into this game full of confidence, after notching their first three points of the season, in a 3-1 victory over West Brom last time out. Preceding that, Chris Hughtons men had drawn one and lost two. Our Bournemouth vs Brighton predictions start below.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Predictions

It will take a lot for Eddie Howe to come under pressure from the fans after all he has done for the club. But Frank De Boer has just been sacked by Crystal Palace after the same start as Howe, so he will desperately want a win here to stop any negativity creeping in to the club and their supporters. After four league defeats on the bounce though, it’s hard to see them winning a game. Their first two home games have seen them lose 2-1 to Man City and 2-0 against Watford. Scoring goals has been the issue, that goal against City was the only one they have scored this term.

Brighton won’t be an easy outfit to break down either. After losing their two tricky opening games against Man City and Leicester, they have improved dramatically. A 0-0 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road came before their historic first win in the Premier League against West Brom. That victory was even more impressive, given that the Baggies had won their first three games. Brighton will be full of confidence coming in to this game, that will be stark contrast to the home side. The first of our Bournemouth vs Brighton predictions is Brighton Draw no Bet. That means if Brighton win the game we win the bet, but if it’s a draw then we get the stake refunded.

Anytime Goalscorer Tips

Pascal Gross already looks like he will be an integral player if Brighton are to stay up this year. The German is already going to go down in Albion folklore, as he was the man to score the clubs first ever goal in the Premier League. The clubs record signing has started every game this term and has looked a real threat in each one. He was signed from Ingolstadt, who were relegated from the Bundesliga last season, but despite that, Gross still managed to create more chances than any other player in the league. That showed last week as he set up strike partner Tomer Hemed. It was a toss up between those two for our anytime goalscorer tips, but at odds at 5/1 for a man high on confidence to find the net again, the value led to Gross for our Bournemouth vs Brighton predictions.

Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score Tips

The final prediction for this game is for Brighton to win the game and both teams to score. It’s very surprising that Bournemouth have only scored once so far this season with the attacking talent at their disposal. Josh King was arguably their best player last season and scored 16 goals. Benik Afobe is always a handful and Charlie Daniels chips in with his fair share of goals and assists. Add to that the addition of the prolific Jermaine Defoe and it would be a surprise if the Cherry’s don’t start firing soon. They have never been the best at the back and I can see Brighton causing them problems. I can see a narrow win for the away team, but can also see both teams getting on the scoresheet. So the value looks to be with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals to complete this weekend’s Bournemouth vs Brighton predictions.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Team News

Eddie Howe has no fresh injury concerns to deal with. Adam Federicis loan move to Nottingham Forest had to be cut short due to an injury, but he hasn’t featured for Bournemouth this season. Steve Sidwell is ruled out for the Seagulls, but Chris Hughton allayed early fears that he may be out for longer than initially thought.

Bournemouth vs Brighton Head to Head Stats

The two sides have met 12 times in recent history, with Bournemouth winning five, drawing four and Brighton winning the other three. The last meeting was in 2015, when Bournemouth won 2-0 in a Championship fixture. This will be the 105th meeting between the two sides overall, in a fixture which has only previously played out five goalless draws
