Football Accumulator Tips
Watford to win away at Newcastle
We start this week’s football accumulator bet in the Premier League. New boys Watford have had a fine start to their top flight campaign with their only defeat coming against run away leaders Manchester City. The Hornets beat high flying Swansea last weekend and will be confident of another three points against struggling Newcastle. Sadly for the Magpies they seem to have carried last season’s poor form into this campaign. They have won just one of their last fifteen Premier League matches and the pressure is on for them to record their first victory this term. The Toon fans will be expecting three points in this one but as they push forward to get that victory they may just leave gaps at the back for Watford to capitalise on and take the spoils.
Shrewsbury to beat Crewe
After promotion last season Shrewsbury found it tough to adapt to life in League One and failed to record a victory in their first five matches. However they seem to have found their feet at this level now and will be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce against their lowly opponents. Crewe currently prop up the division and are yet to win this term. It looks like a season of struggle ahead for the Railwaymen who have lost their last three and have the poorest defence in the league. Crewe will be hoping for that elusive first victory but may well struggle to do that against a team gaining in confidence each and every week.
Bury to beat Port Vale
Bury are another side who were promoted from league two last season and have followed must the same path as Shrewsbury. They also didn’t win in five but have since won their last two against promotion hopefuls Sheffield United and Walsall. They have lost just the once this term and are joint top scorers in the division. Port Vale haven’t had the best start to the season and have lost two of their last three matches. Vale are also yet to win away from home and may struggle to improve that statistic this weekend. Bury look like a club on the up who could well have a say in the promotion race this year and I fancy them to take all three points this weekend for the next selection in my accumulator prediction.
Morecambe to beat Northampton
You have to be impressed with Morecambe over the past few seasons. Every year they are amongst the favourites to be relegated but never seem to even be in a relegation fight. This year they have started the season in fine form. They currently sit in the play-offs and are looking for their fourth victory in a row. They come up against a Northampton side who have had an inconsistent start to the campaign. They are a club who will expect to be in the promotion mix this term but are on a run of just a single victory in their last five. They are struggling to score goals and come up against a free scoring side who have scored twice the amount of goals as the Cobblers and for that reason I think that this will be a home victory.
Plymouth to beat Bristol Rovers
We finish this week’s football accumulator tip in League Two. Plymouth played some really good football last season and ended up just failing to gain promotion by losing in the play-offs. They have since had a change of manager but have continued in the same vain and are looking like serious promotion candidates. Derek Adams has managed to make Argyle a more attacking force while also ensuring they remain strong defensively. They have won four of their last five and are brimming with confidence. Bristol Rovers had a solid first few games back in the football league but their form has since tailed off. They have lost their last three and haven’t found the net in that time. This all points to a home victory and for Plymouth to bring home our winning accumulator.
