Football Accumulator Tips this Week

MK Dons v Middlesbrough Betting Tip

Middlesbrough win

Middlesbrough have hit the buffers recently, but I think this is the fixture in which they can bounce back. Aitor Karanka has a mouth-watering array of striking talent at his disposal and they should be able to find the back of the net against this porous Dons side. Jordan Rhodes is likely to handed his full debut and with David Nugent upping his game as a result of the arrival of the Blackburn striker, they could get a few here. Despite their recent blip, they still have the 4th best away form and rarely concede more than a goal a game. MK Dons have netted just 13 goals in 14 home matches this season, so they shouldn’t offer too much threat to the best defence in the league, which has only shipped 15 goals all season. If Middlesbrough can score the first goal here, they should be on course for three points.

Hartlepool v Stevenage Betting Tip

Hartlepool win

Stevenage sacked Teddy Sheringham last week and it didn’t get any better for the Hertfordshire club when they lost 1-0 to out of form Crawley. They make a long Tuesday night trip up to the North East here to face Hartlepool. Ronnie Moore needs some victories and needs them quickly. He surely cannot pull off the great escape twice. The piece of form which persuades me to back the home side here is their recent home victory over Wycombe. They kept a rare clean sheet and beat a side who are competing at the right end of the table. They’ve taken two more points from their last eight games than their opponents and although this match will be a bit of a slog and will be difficult to watch for the neutral, I’d fancy the home side to just about edge it.

Altrincham v Wrexham Betting Tip

Altrincham have been very strong at home this season and have won their last two here. The bare form states they’ve lost four of the last seven matches, but they were all away and they were all to teams in the top five positions of the table. Wrexham have emerged from the other side of a terrible run of form and gained creditable draws with Eastleigh and Forest Green and I think it might be another point for the Welsh outfit here and our accumulator tip. Altrincham will be hard to beat and I don’t think Wrexham are in good enough form for the away win. They haven’t won on the road since the start of December and it’s just one of five away wins across the course of the season. Altrincham have been beaten at home just three times all season, one of which came on the opening day of the season against Forest Green.

Bromley v Grimsby Betting Tip

Grimsby win

It’s just a single win in eight for Bromley now and surprisingly it was away at Dover Athletic. It’s just two points picked up from their last four home matches and I think they will struggle here against a resolute Grimsby side. The Mariners sit 3rd in the table, but they have the 9th best away form in the division and they lost on the road to Gateshead recently. They’ve recently beaten Welling, Eastleigh and Barrow on their travels and they should have too much for 14th place Bromley. The Lincolnshire club are the 2nd highest scorers in the league and have the 3rd best defence having only conceded 23 goals in 29 matches, which is a very decent record.

Cowdenbeath v Albion Betting Tip

Cowdenbeath win

We’re going North of the border for this final selection on this week’s football accumulator bet from Scottish League One. Cowdenbeath lost their last home match, but they’ve got a pretty decent record here. Stranraer beat them by a goal to nil, but they sit three places above Cowdenbeath and have the 3rd best current form in the league. Albion have picked up just 11 points from their 10 away matches so far this season and they might struggle here. There are only four points between these sides in the table and they are going through similar patches of form, but I fancy the home form of Cowdenbeath to see them through here.
