Over 2.5 Goals Accumulator Tip this Week
Norwich v Spurs Tip
Over 2.5 goals
If Norwich defend like they did against Liverpool, then all three of the goals will easily be Spurs’. Tottenham put out a slightly weakened team in the FA Cup, but they still hit four past League One Colchester. They’ve scored six goals in their last three matches and eight in their last four away matches, so they should hit a couple at Carrow Road. Norwich may have conceded five, but they hit four themselves and new signing Steven Naismith should be able to chip in from midfield. Norwich seem to have signed well and it should give them a chance of staying up, but also some much needed goals. This one should be lively.

West Brom v Swansea Tip
Over 2.5 goals
This match is very much a clash of styles with Tony Pulis’ route one Stoke taking on silky Swansea. The Welsh side have definitely improved under new management with a much needed 1-2 victory at Everton last time out. They’ve started scoring again, which is a good sign and now they just need to start working on their defending. West Brom have been poor recently, but Pulis always finds a way to get them a goal. They scored twice past Chelsea fairly recently and they also hit two past Stoke here recently. It’s just one clean sheet in four for Swansea and they might find Stoke’s route one style hard to cope with. West Brom conceded twice to League One Peterborough on Saturday which surely highlights problems at the back for the Baggies. They’ve conceded six in the last four matches.
Sheffield Wednesday v Burnley Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Both of these sides are the right end of the table and this one is hard to call. I do think there will be goals at Hillsborough though. Sheffield Wednesday have recruited Gary Hooper permanently and he will attempt to fire them back to the Premier League. He’s done well so far, notching twice against Leeds and the Owls will be desperate to bounce back here after their FA Cup disappointment. They conceded three to League One Shrewsbury and that will rankle with Ricardo Carvalhal. It shows they are susceptible though and free-scoring Burnley will see that as a great opportunity. The Clarets scored past Arsenal and that follows a run of 12 goals in three matches, including games against Derby and Brentford. This one should be one for the neutral.
Wolves v Bolton Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Bolton suffered an FA Cup defeat on Saturday as they went down 2-1 to Leeds United. The Trotters need to concentrate on the league though and staying afloat. The bad news for them is that Charlton won and Bristol City gained a point at the weekend, so the pressure is on Neil Lennon’s side to produce the goods here at Molineux. They still cannot defend though and they have let in nine goals in their last four matches which isn’t a good record. Wolves have plenty of firepower, but are undergoing an injury crisis. They’ve made some interesting signings in the transfer window with Cardiff striker Joe Mason coming in from South Wales. Mason has a decent-ish record if provided with the service. They’ve bought back Mike Williamson, this time permanently from Newcastle to shore things up at the back. That may stop Bolton scoring more than one, but I think Kenny Jackett’s side may get a few here.
Eastleigh v Bromley Tip
Over 2.5 goals
Down to the National League for this final selection as Eastleigh are looking to keep tabs on the top three in the table. They drew 1-1 at the weekend and both teams have netted in their last six matches. Eastleigh have scored in their last seven matches whilst they’ve also conceded in their last six. Bromley have conceded in their last five away matches and have one of the poorest defences in the league shipping 52 goals already. They conceded four to Cheltenham at the weekend and they look good value to let a few more past them tonight.
