Weekend Accumulator Tips:
Portsmouth to beat Accrington
League Two title favourites Portsmouth have started the season in good form. New manager Paul Cook has recruited well and will be looking at getting his side promoted to league one with as little fuss as possible. Five games unbeaten and hitting the target on average twice a match so far this term can only breed confidence for the Pompey faithful. They will be expecting another three points against mid table Accrington. Stanley have held their own at this level now since 2007 and will be hoping that they can push for the play-offs this term. However they haven’t started great and have just a single victory to their name so far and backing Portsmouth looks the safe bet.
Walsall to beat Bury
Few would have tipped Walsall to be leading the way in League One at this stage of the campaign but that is just where the Saddlers find themselves and it is exactly where they deserve to be. Striker Tom Bradshaw has five goals to his name already and their attacking style is causing a lot of problems for opposition defences so the Bury rear guard need to be at their best. Unfortunately for Bury they have the second worst goals against column in this division conceded eleven in just five matches. They have also failed to win this campaign so will probably find things tough against their inform opponents.

Leyton Orient to win away at Exeter
Leyton Orient’s winning start to the season has to come to an end sometime but I think that they can keep it going for a few more matches yet. Last season’s relegation from league one must have really hurt Orient as they were one of the favourites for promotion. Manager Ian Hendon has his team playing very well and will expect nothing less than three points this weekend. They come up against an Exeter side who have had an average start to the league campaign. They are a good side who can match any other team in this division on their day. They have signed the experienced Clinton Morrison which should help things further but they will have to be on their game to halt the Orient express.
Wycombe to beat Hartlepool
After last season’s battle against relegation Hartlepool fans would be happy with a quiet campaign this time around. They started the season in fine form winning three on the bounce but back to back defeats have followed and confidence may just be starting to get a little fragile. They face an unbeaten Wycombe side that have had a great start to the new term after last season’s penalty shootout play off final heartbreak. They have conceded just one goal in five league matches and will be looking to that solid defence to help them get three more points on Saturday. This should be a decent game but I do think that Gareth Ainsworth’s Wanderer’s have just enough quality to come out on top.
Eastleigh to win away at Barrow
Eastleigh had a fine first season in the newly named National League last season by making the play-offs. This season they will be looking to go one better and achieve promotion into the football league. They have started the season in great form winning five out of seven matches and drawing the other two. In three away matches so far they have scored eight goals and that fire power should see them have too much for newly promoted Barrow. After easing to the Conference North title last term Barrow are hoping for a season of consolidation in non-league’s top tier. They have a good enough squad to do that but will struggle to add any points this weekend and an Eastleigh win should bring home our football accumulator tip.
