William Hill Punter Turns 30p into over £10,000 with a 97th minute winner

football betting tips today

It was a Saturday afternoon to remember for William Hill sign-up bonus punter when they landed an outrageous 13-fold accumulator bet across the Saturday football fixtures.

The punt began with the early kick-off in the Football League and Barnsley got the job done with a 3-2 victory over Luton. The bet then moved onto the 3pm kick-offs and included Dundee United’s 2-1 win at Partick and Elgin’s 3-1 victory over Cowdenbeath. The remainder of selections were from the Football League matches in England and included the likes of Oxford’s win against Plymouth and Northampton’s 97th minute winner against Forest Green.

Elsewhere there was another injury time winner for the lucky William Hill customer, with Burton Albion finding the net in the 91st minute against Bristol Rovers to secure the three points and another tick on the coupon.

Colchester and Accrington both won comfortably but the real drama was the 97th minute goal for Northampton. It’s pretty safe to say that the mystery punter owes The Cobblers striker Andy Williams a pint after that goal!

It has to be said this isn’t the biggest ever winning bet we have seen, but it is right up there. Most casual punters have been there in the past, finding some loose change and throwing it on a massive coupon in the hope of winning big – but not many can actually say they’ve turned it into a life changing sum. The £10,129.59 bet was placed on Friday evening at 22:42, there is every chance this was done down the local pub after a few jars, making it an even more remarkable bet!

Is the betting slip real?

There is no reason to doubt this is a winning slip, but as is always the way with these things, the comments on social media were filled with comments calling fake. Danny quoted “Absolute horseshit. At least make them believable” while Chris wasn’t convinced about the authenticity of the bet either, saying “So fucking fake, trying get customers, making it look so easy”.

Barry also chipped in with “That’s a load of bollox,, my misses needed Plymouth to win 9/9,, she got 8/9 for £1 accy for just short of £9oo…fark orrffffff…” – I wonder if he’d have called his misses’ bet fake if she’d have landed a 900/1 punt?

Lee seen exactly what was coming and commented “Here come the ‘it’s not real’ comments because they can’t even land a paper fucking aeroplane ???”. We tend to agree with Lee to be honest – it is highly doubtful that William Hill sign-up bonus would bother spending the time to make these fake bets up. £10,000 is hardly going to put them out of business after all!
